"It went well. We had contacted 3 companies back in the spring to get estimates. We called the top 2 when we were ready to proceed. Richard, the owner of All American Fencing, understood our needs the best and offered his insight and expertise. There was a lot of back and forth until we decided definitively what we wanted. All of the crew who were on our property were friendly, informative, and very hard working. They worked in the wind and rain. Richard was easy to work with. Three-quarters through the job we requested an addition and he was able to accommodate us. The job came in on budget and one day earlier than expected! Will work with again."

"They are still working on it. Railing , bannisters, and steps complete. They are painting now. I will definitely hire them for more jobs in future. I really like their work, and they are very nice."

"Juan and his team replaced our roof which was in very bad shape. He walked us through the process and explained everything that needed to be done because water had gotten under the shingles. He and his team worked quickly and professionally. Everything was cleaned up once they were done and our new roof looks great. Will definitely be using him again for any and all home projects."

"I realize my rental property was starting to look a little rough. The team was able to come out and do some pressure washing siding repair and yard cleanup to get the place look cleaned up and respectable again. Highly recommended!"

Fencing questions, answered by experts

How much does a privacy fence cost? Stockade fences cost $12 to $13 per linear foot for materials. You may find fencing that costs less, but it’s likely wholesale wood manufactured using young trees. Fencing materials made with young trees are less durable than those made with mature trees.

For installation, expect to pay $30 to $80 per hour. Installing a 150- to 200-linear-foot fence takes 20 to 35 hours, which comes to about $600 to $2,800 for labor.

Green branches are more flexible and easier to work with, but they'll shrink as they dry, which can loosen your fence weave over time—so you'll need to weave them extra tight to account for shrinkage. Some species, particularly willow, may also try to sprout when used green. For these reasons, it’s typically easiest to use branches that have dried for a week or two.

The best way to protect your pets from coyotes is to ensure they are always supervised when outside, especially during dawn and dusk when coyotes are the most active. When walking your dog, keep it on a short leash and carry something noisy you can use to haze any coyotes you may encounter.

You’ll need to bury the garden fence about 1 foot underground. It’s tempting to save on materials by burying the fence just a couple of inches, but if you do so, determined pests will still be able to dig under the fence and access your plants. Burying your garden fence deep into the soil is an important step that allows you to attach a wire barrier to the fencing.

Burrowing animals (like voles, moles, rabbits, and gophers) can’t dig or chew through this wiring, meaning that you’ll be keeping your prized petunias or your robust veggie garden from being eaten.

The lifespan of a picket fence largely depends on its material. Wooden picket fences typically last 10 to 15 years with regular maintenance, while vinyl and composite picket fences can last 20 to 30 years or more due to their resistance to weather, rot, and pests. Metal picket fences often exceed 30 years, especially when properly coated to prevent rust or corrosion.
