Our Home Warranty sent a different provider who checked it out and said it was running fine. A day later it was off again. Lake City Heating is a company we had used in another house so we asked our warranty service if we could use them. The owner, John, responded on a Saturday evening since he lived nearby, and spent 2 hours dismantling and diagnosing our system. We needed a new switch but he was able to leave us with heat running. He was back with the part in two days. His temporary solution had kept us warm for the rest of the weekend. The owner John came to finish the job himself. He went down in the crawl space to double check all of our duct system and then installed the new switch. The service we received was thorough and detailed. He explained what had happened and showed us some basics about the system. We wouldn't use anyone else but Lake City Heating and Cooling. It is an excellent company with the kind of customer service you don't see much anymore. Highly recommended.

I was told to use the warranty web site to submit the claim. I did so but did not hear back after several days so I decided to call again. They scheduled a technican over the phone to come take a look and do meaurements. He was good and arrived on-time and was quick. The next email I recevied was for payment of $92 for labor regarding the replacement before anything was going to happen. I emailed back regarding the charge and warranty and received an email from Cindy Martin explaining the warranty at the time our windows were installed was different than todays. My warranty does not cover labor but the current warranty does. I explained that this whole process was quite inconveient since I work out of town and I have had to rearranged my schedule and take vacation time for their technician and felt the 92$ should be not be charged (espcially since they now cover those charges). Also, the $92 should of been explained earlier in the process since I had talked to them twice and had the technician to our house and nothing had been mention regarding charges. Cascade did not offer apology for inconveiencing me nor any explaining as to why the $92 was not explained after two verbal comunication with them and a technician visting our house. I had asked Cindy Martin for Randy Emerson (CEO) email address twice and have been completley blown off on that request. She did mention that my information was passed to Mr. Emerson but he had been busy. In the end the technican did a good job and I was charged $92 for the 20 minutes it took him to replace it. Anyways, bottom line in my opinion is the warranty customer service is not part of Cascade Windows business practice and this will be the last time I deal with them. Hope it was worth the $92 to them.

Taking the day off cost me about $400, let alone the $99 for the extended warranty, and now the $25 for the laundramat. All they said was and quot;I'm sorryand quot; - that doesn't cut it in this day and age. Consumers pay a lot of money and have a right to quality customer service. Very unhappy I called Home Depot and after speaking with a nice guy, he said he would have someone call back to see what they could do for me. This was before noon and they could've gotten someone else out. Someone named and quot;Cocoand quot; finally called back around 2 p.m. and said the only thing she could do was reschedule for another time. She was very brief, not at all sympathetic and obviously needed training in Customer Service. Initial work was good. However, after 18 months stains and other discoloration was noted. It took over 12 months to get the it refinished. They billed me extra for refinishing saying they do not warranty their work. Much misinformation between owner and his workmen who inspected the job. In...
We got a new privacy fence and they tore down and hauled off the old. Everything went well, and when we had problems a year later, even though we were outside of the year warranty, they sent someone out and took care of the problem free of charge. I recommend Witt Fence company. Very...

"It took a lot of phone tag to finally get the technician to our house, but once here he was efficient and professional and did an amazing job. The chip was in the edge of a white quartz countertop, very difficult to match perfectly, and the repair is absolutely invisible. Not the lowest bid, but worth the price."

FAQs for home warranty projects in Liberty Lake, WA
Many benefits come with buying a home warranty when selling your home, but there are drawbacks to consider, too.
Pros
Peace of mind of home repair coverage
Incentive for buyers
Transferability to new owners
Prevent post-sale issues
Cons
Expensive cost
Exclusions of certain features or appliances
Coverage limits
Often difficult to understand
Potential wait for claim service
On average, a home warranty costs about $1,100, ranging from $80 to $8,300, depending on your home size and its features, type of home warranty plan, and the coverage included. Your home’s location also factors into the cost of a home warranty, with areas with a higher cost of living experiencing increased warranty costs.
Additional cost to consider include:
Deductibles: $75–$125 per call
Add-ons: $2–$35 per month
Premiums: $200–$1,200 per year
Several factors make a home warranty worth it or not, especially the age of your home and the condition and age of the appliances in it. If you buy an older home with most or all original appliances, a warranty may be worth the investment as these home features are more likely to need repairs or replacements. However, if you’re buying a new-construction home, a warranty may already be included, and you may not need to use it for several years. In this case, purchasing add-ons may not be worth the cost until a few years later.
Offering a home warranty when selling can make your property more appealing to potential buyers. The warranty gives them peace of mind that many systems or appliances will be covered if they need to be repaired or replaced in the near future. Additionally, the home warranty may cover problems that arise during the home sale, such as a leaky roof or water in the basement.
The main types of home warranties cover the basic essentials, but additional plan types focus on specific areas such as:
Appliance plan: This plan covers typical household appliances like refrigerators, stoves, washer and dryer, built-in microwaves, and dishwashers. It costs $360 and $540 per year.
System plan: Costing between $360 and $540 per year, this plan covers central home systems like HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and water heaters.
Combination plan: This plan type covers both systems and appliances, costing between $545 and $1,500.
