"All aspects of this project were done efficiently, professionally. and the outcome exceeded my expectations. Communications were frequent and informative. Two maple tree stumps were removed via excavator, vs. grinding/chipping. This resulted in the area being free of roots and debris. I am very happy with the results. The price was very reasonable. I highly recommend this company. Pictures include before and after."

"I had a great experience working with Greg for some stump grinding and highly recommend his company. His communication was excellent right from the start, and he was incredibly flexible when I asked to add another piece to the job at the last minute. What really impressed me was the care he took with safety and property protection. He put up solid barriers around the workspace so flying debris wouldn't be an issue. His pricing is very fair, and his cleanup was top-notch—he restored the area to its pre-job condition and honestly left it looking even better than before he started. Total professional, and I'd absolutely hire him again."

"This company is exceptional. Prompt, courteous, excellent price. We had a huge cedar removed and they were finished in 3 hours. We love trees but this one blocked our satellite dish. They cut the logs for the wood stove (we need to split) and piled the branches in a neat pile and the wood in another. Will definitely use again."

"everything went very well. The trees that we had cut were close to the water pump and our home. He cut the trees and told us where they would land and they landed just where he said. The job was done in less that 2 hours if that. A very good experience and we would hire him again. We would and have recommended him."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

White vinegar does not kill ivy on trees because its acetic acid concentration is not high enough to overpower it. Vinegar is an effective herbicide for weeds and other plants, but not for the strength of most ivies, including poison ivy and English ivy. You should use an herbicide to kill ivy, such as one with glyphosate, imazapyr, or triclopyr.

You may need permission to take a tree down. Check with your local ordinances about rules regarding tree removal and to gain any necessary permits. Check with your local ordinances or the fire department if you plan to burn the stump. Make sure you have all the steps in place before removing the tree, or contact a local tree removal service.

No, homeowners insurance typically does not cover the cost of removing a dead, sick, or rotting tree that is still standing. Insurance is designed to protect against sudden and unexpected accidents, whereas a tree dying or rotting over time is considered a maintenance issue. Coverage usually only applies after a tree has fallen and caused damage to your property.

Any tree that needs to be pruned should be pruned to remove dead branches at least once a year. You may need to prune far more often if you’re trying to maintain a certain shape or to save a tree that suddenly becomes infected.

The best time to prune Japanese flowering cherry trees depends on where you live and the type of flowering cherry tree. Some trees benefit from being pruned toward the end of winter or early spring, after the last freeze. Meanwhile, other trees do well after blooming, in late spring or early summer. Avoid pruning your flowering cherry tree in the early winter, as this encourages open wounds that can lead to infections or infestations.
