Customers say: Super punctual

"Everything she suggested I could have come up with myself (in fact some of them I did while she was there). She didn't leave any mock-ups nor did she suggest that she would do mock-ups and send. Basically, just a very disappointing experience."

"How did it go? Very well! Fortunately, the bath is in remodel, and the water-wall was already partially torn-out so the piping was easily available to him. Raman performed a perfectly acceptable job for me. The tub is painted, so he padded it and was careful with the detritus, so not to scratch it. When he was almost done, he tested the water flow and asked if it was always this small. I didn't pay adequate attention, and said yes..it's an old house. We didn't turn on the SHOWER, and should have tested there also. Turns out debris from inside the pipes clogged the new cartridge! I called Raman after my cold, dribbly shower the next day and he promptly returned to clean-out the filter, no extra charge for my lack of attention to detail. Quite happy w/the repair."

"I couldn't find the category for gas piping. This Father and son team replaced a gas pipe to my outdoor grill that was leaking. They removed the old leaking pipe and installed a new black iron pipe and painted it and did an excellent job. They took the time to explain everything to me while they did the job and even took photos in the crawl space so I can see without having to go in there myself."

Percolation Tests questions, answered by experts

Asbestos is a carcinogen, meaning it increases the risk of cancer. Inhaling asbestos fibers is linked to several respiratory issues, including asbestosis, or scarring on the lungs, lung cancer, and mesothelioma, another type of cancer. There's also a link between asbestos exposure and an increased risk of colon cancer and other cancers of the digestive system.

Usually, the people most at risk for disease related to asbestos exposure are those who spend a lot of time working around the material without protection. Electricians who work with asbestos wire have a higher risk of developing mesothelioma or lung cancer due to their exposure.

Asbestos-containing materials are not easily affected by water and do not disintegrate or dissolve when exposed to it. However, porous materials can deteriorate due to water exposure, leading to the release of asbestos fibers into the air. The settling of asbestos fibers can also occur as water makes them heavy, which reduces the risk of airborne exposure, though future disturbance of the materials could cause risk. Wetting asbestos-containing materials does not constitute safe removal, and the proper handling and disposal of asbestos materials should be left to professionals.

No, you do not have to worry about new popcorn ceilings having asbestos. All residential building materials used since the mid-1980s stopped including asbestos, so new popcorn ceilings have no risk of asbestos. You can still create a textured drywall ceiling with a popcorn texture if you like, but new techniques have no risk of adding asbestos.

Yes, even a single, one-time exposure to asbestos can be harmful and increase the risk of future illness, including certain diseases and cancers. The level of risk depends on several factors, such as the concentration and intensity of the exposure. A small, brief exposure is less likely to cause significant damage than an exposure to a high concentration of asbestos fibers.

The likelihood of developing severe health issues increases with repeated or prolonged exposure. Individual reactions to asbestos vary; some people may have multiple exposures without harm, while others are more susceptible. Asbestos-related illnesses may not manifest for 10 to 40 years after inhalation.

Due to these risks, it is crucial to take precautions. Personal protective equipment (PPE) may not offer complete protection, as fibers can get through small gaps. The EPA recommends hiring a professional for testing and removal if you suspect the presence of asbestos in your home. If you are concerned about a potential exposure, consult your doctor.

Regulations require certified professionals for removals and disposal in compliance with local and federal guidelines, ensuring safety and legality.
