"If you need reliable contractor, my strong recommendation is Palm Construction. I hired them to build a deck and they did phenomenal job. Ray and his brilliant team made this project simple and non painful. I worked with many contractors and this was my best experience. They also charged at the end very reasonable final price, although quality of materials is superb. I can't recommend enough!"

"I met Dan yesterday for my chimney inspection. He was very friendly and detailed about everything and suggested an interior cleaning for our old chimney, he also inspected my air ducts for free! Dan was very thorough and communicative throughout the entire meeting. Also his price was very reasonable and cheaper than the other 2 quotes I got before. I really recommend this company if you need to get your chimney or ducts cleaned or repaired and I would definitely use them in the future for my next cleanings!"

"It was great.  I tried to do it myself and the brush head became stuck in the line.  He removed the brush head that I was unable to retrieve.  My self cleaning had actually created a larger problem - when the brush head came out it was followed by a clump of lint - scary.  He also cleaned the inside of the dryer, which also provided a satisfying level of lint removal."

Fireplace Cleaners questions, answered by experts

Regular HVAC filter changes, deep cleaning, and air quality monitoring help maintain a healthy environment.

The best color to paint a brick fireplace comes down to personal taste. However, neutral colors—like white or gray—will open the space and create a bright modern look, making them popular options. However, choosing a bold color can turn your fireplace into a feature piece that will be the talk of all family gatherings.

With a little ingenuity, an old fireplace insert can be transformed into a decorative centerpiece that infuses new life into any room. Consider placing LED lights or candles inside to create a captivating display that simulates the warm glow of a fire. Another option is to repurpose the insert as a charming bookshelf by adding rustic shelves within the firebox. For plant lovers, converting the fireplace insert into an indoor garden is a perfect way to bring nature indoors. You can also transform it into a stylish wine rack.

You may have some limitations when looking for materials and a design to reface your gas fireplace versus what’s available for a traditional wood-burning fireplace. Some gas fireplace surround ideas include stone, concrete, brick, tile, wood, steel, and plaster. However, you should check with the manufacturer of your gas fireplace model to determine if you have any limitations on what you can use.

A hearth often looks like a tile or brick floor that juts out from and surrounds your fireplace. A hearth can be made of stone, brick, ceramic, or any other fireproof material. Brick offers a classic and traditional vibe, whereas a hearth made of marble or ceramic may lean more toward modern aesthetics. The most common depth of a hearth is 20 inches.
