Pacwest Floors of Bothell is more than just a flooring store. We are a smaller company with the same pricing as a larger store or chain. What that means is that you get the unbelievable pricing like a chain store, but receive the attention to detail and customer service that the larger stores sometimes struggle with. Our appointment only showroom offers a large selection of every type of floor-covering and counters. Pacwest also has the expert installation crews that they have been working with for over 20 years and the owner of the company has been in the industry for 35 years! We guarantee you will be thrilled with both the pricing and customer service!

"Check your invoices carefully. They overcharge. I had several types of work done by Pac West Floors. When I reviewed the invoices, I found several discrepancies. I was charged for Sales Tax on the Quotes and again on the invoices (double charged). I was billed for work that was not done, etc. All together overcharged $1400.00. Tried to work with them, first person - yes we owe you refund. No refund. Sent info to owner - no answer."

Swifty floors LLC is a small business that specializes in tiling and flooring working with all types of material for all types of home projects. Swifty floors is a private owned business owned by Pablo Basurto and has been in business for 2 years now. I hope to be part of your next project in creating the home of your dreams at a suitable price.

"DO NOT DEAL with Pablo. He did a bathroom faucet for me which ended up leaking. It caused water damage in my ceiling. He wanted me to pay for the materials to have it fixed. He started the job but never finished. He started denying my calls and now I find out he isn’t licensed or bonded anymore and has multiple unpaid fines against company. He isn’t insured. Be sure to verify any information he gives you. He has lawsuits against him for breach of contract. Find someone else. He claims he’s a general contractor but that too is a lie"

"If you have a plethora of extra time and money, this is your place. The owner, Francisco (nicknamed Paco) botched my installation, permanently damaging the new carpet and (according to the manufacturer’s warranty brochure) voided the carpet warranty. Pretty much all that can be done wrong was indeed done wrong: he knowingly installed carpet with existing stains; tried cleaning the stains by hand with full-strength store bought carpet cleaner concentrate – only making them worse; carpet seams were placed in high-traffic, noticeable areas; seams had exposed chunks of glue, melted carpet and were rough to the touch; carpet tack strips protruded through the carpet far enough to cut our bare feet on; carpet on stairs was installed without padding over the nose, leaving sharp plywood edges to be felt under the carpet and quickly pulled loose on the front edge due to staples falling out on their own – need I say more? When confronted on how he would resolve the issues, he refused to say, but insisted he come back and could 'easily' resolve them. How you ask? Still a mystery to this day. After calling 4 other carpet companies for their advice/opinions and being told by all of them that I received a ‘hack job’ for an install, there was no way I was letting Francisco back into my house – I felt 100% dooped and had lost all confidence in his abilities. We ended up in small-claims court (my first experience), and unfortunately for me the law favored him. Lesson learned was that when you sign a contract, you are stuck with the contractor to the bitter end, no matter what. In this case, everything sounded good at the start, he had a nice demeanor, young upstart company, assurances of great experience and professionalism, and worthy of supporting. But in the end, I got screwed. I do not recommend Craftcore, as from my experience they are missing the most important thing – the ability to complete a proper installation. I had my carpet re-done by another local company, Nielson Brothers, and highly recommend them. They fully live up to their years of solid reputation – I love my new carpet. No matter who you go with, I recommend reading the CRI 105 Carpet Installation Guidelines and the manufacturer’s warranty brochure to make sure you’re fully educated when going into your carpet installation. Good luck with your decision and install!"

We are a locally owned and family operated company with over 20 years of experience. We pride ourselves on the quality of our work, as well as, our commitment to outstanding results. We look forward to building lasting relationships and guarantee your satisfaction!

"Had him stain our decks. One year later the paint is cracked and the work looks like crap. Contacted him several times and he had said he would be out to fix it. He is now unresponsive to my calls and text. He is the worst contractor I’ve ever dealt with and shouldn’t be in angi list because of his unprofessional nature, lack of follow up, and the fact that the paint is not chipping onto my son. I wouldn’t be surprised if his business closes because of the poor work he does. Will never suggest him for anything. I wouldn’t even use him to move furniture because he would find a way to be terrible at that. Overall experience was horrid and angi list should pull him from the site as he doesn’t represent the best of services performed"

Carpet Installation questions, answered by experts

Even if you’re just replacing your carpet and not your baseboards, experts recommend removing existing baseboards before installing new carpet. This allows for a clean and seamless installation without the risk of damaging the baseboards or the carpet. Additionally, removing the baseboards gives you the opportunity to stain or repaint them as well as inspect and repair any underlying issues with the walls or flooring.

DIY installation is challenging; professionals ensure proper fitting, adhesive application, and long-term durability.

If you have a dark carpet and are going for a lighter look, you should replace it, rather than dyeing, since you can only go darker with dye. If your stains are too heavy to mask with carpet dye or the carpet is more than 10 years old, you should also consider replacing it.

Experts advise that replacing carpeting can bring a 50% to 80% return on investment. However, new carpeting doesn’t necessarily add value to your overall home value. Because flooring value heavily depends on taste, it can be tricky to determine whether new carpet will increase your home sale price. Carpeting tends to be a renovation that increases overall comfort and aesthetics for your home, but it’s not a big factor in value.

Carpets should always be replaced after smoke damage. Particulates and chemicals can penetrate the carpet into the carpet padding, and it can be difficult to fully remove all traces of smoke or fire damage. If water is used to put out the fire, it can soak through the carpet, leading to mold growth and other issues. It’s best to be safe and replace your carpets after a fire.
