"I called John and asked him to make a few minor repairs to my home in Sunland. If John was moving slow and even took a lunch break it should have been no more than 2 hours worth of work. Instead John sent me an invoice for 10 man hours. Apparently it took two men 5 hours to complete the list. John was asked to replace the key under the mat but after 3 separate visits by my Property Manager no key was ever found. I texted John asking him where the key was, he said his men would have left it and that he was not a thief. I never accused John of being a thief so not sure why he made that comment. After my text he called the my Property Manager, well known in Sunland, and berated her over the phone. John is very unprofessional, I do not recommend him, stay clear. There are better people to call on. Check out all the 1 star reviews on Yelp, don’t make the same mistake we did."

Yes, 1/2-inch thick drywall is commonly used for ceilings in residential construction. It provides adequate support and is easier to handle and install compared to thicker drywall sheets. Thicker drywall, such as 5/8-inch, is typically used for ceilings in commercial buildings or areas requiring additional fire resistance or soundproofing. However, for most standard residential applications, 1/2-inch drywall is sufficient and widely accepted.

The time it takes for thinset to dry is determined by your room’s ambient temperature and humidity levels. Assuming the average humidity level is around 40% with an average temperature of 70 degrees Fahrenheit, thinset can dry within 48 hours. Lower temperatures and higher humidity can extend the curing process beyond 72 hours, while high heat and zero humidity can shorten the curing process. However, thinset can crack if it dries too fast.

You can install backsplash on kitchen drywall, as long as you ensure your drywall is clean and dry before you apply the tiles. Your kitchen walls should be made of green board drywall, which is moisture-resistant. If you don’t have green board where your new backsplash will go, you should swap it out.

You should stagger drywall sheets to help prevent cracking. The joints between drywall sheets are the weak spots, so if you install drywall with seams aligned, you’ll create weak lines that run across the length of the wall and extend from floor to ceiling. But when you stagger drywall, the solid sections of panels will support the joints. You can prevent air leaks and sagging by gluing a drywall ceiling. However, not every drywall job is a good fit for Sheetrock adhesive, and many pros say ceilings are one of those cases. When you place them properly, drywall screws make ceiling Sheetrock part of your home’s structural support system. 

Adding glue won’t increase the strength of the drywall, and it can make it much harder for you to remove and replace damaged drywall. Adhesive can bridge gaps, though, and it can keep temperature-controlled air from escaping or entering through the ceilings, making rooms more energy efficient.
