"Very quick response and turnaround time. Hired them to clear and grade about 3/4 of an acre on our property. They came to check out my land and gave me a quote next business day. Started the project the next week and finished same day. Professional and kind crew. I'd use them for future projects."

"FANTASTIC !!!! Pinpoint was an absolute pleasure - I hope I have future projects that I can call Alex for. He was very precise and careful in his work and ALWAYS implemented the way I wanted even as I made changes on the fly necessitating modifications and more materials. He also understands building codes and explained clearly so that we would not run into city permit problems. He was energetic and worked quickly - achieving a tremendous amount in a short time. Alex demonstrating that he knew how to bid the project properly, was diligent, and always communicated clearly. I have had a lot of experience with contractors in the past and there is no doubt that Alex is head above shoulders better, more honest, and very importantly - RELIABLE."

"They did a great job and did it fast. They took good care of us. We're glad Nelson advised us that we would get a better result by replacing the entire patio vs just two damaged "panels" of a larger patio. Other quotes were just for the work we asked for. We ended up spending more than we planned but we feel it was money well spent. Nelson quoted exactly what they would do and what it would cost--this takes more detail than you would expect involving underlying gravel, compacting, re bar spacing, and spacing of control joints. Nelson communicated timing of the various project steps and kept to the timeline. Nelson's crew is family based and clearly enjoyed worked together and demonstrated pride in their work."

"Getting the install scheduled was difficult: our calls were often unreturned and when we called on our own, we were not able to schedule the install. It wasn't until we threatened to cancel that a date was scheduled for installation. When the patio was installed, there were no borders to keep the pacers in place, leaving us to perform that work on our own. He have also had to add an additional 3 bags of sand to fill the cracks and complete that patio. The pacers look great and the work was done very quickly but the challenges in scheduling and the incomplete work preclude us from using this business again in the future."

Land Clearing Services FAQs, answered by experts

Yes, they assess topography and potential risks related to flooding.

If a buyer pays for a survey, the surveyor they hired will only provide results to them. It’s up to the buyer whether they share the survey results with the seller or not, even if they ultimately walk away from the deal. It’s considered good faith to share the results with the seller, though, especially if you back out of the deal, as the seller can then provide that survey to future interested parties.

Land survey reports have a boatload of information relevant to several scenarios. Here are the types of information contained with a survey, though it depends on your chosen type of land survey. Exact boundaries and dimensions of a given property General topography, including both natural and artificial landmarks Location of utility fixtures, like water mains Confirmation of any easements or encroachments on a piece of property Assessment of land elevation to buy flood insurance Updated information to add to a pre-existing property map

Building a road on a slope requires careful planning and will normally require a drainage system underneath to prevent flooding and damage to the road over time. Your professional may lengthen your road to create switchbacks if the slope directly to your home is too steep, as there are regulations for maximum road slope. The drainage system will help prevent runoff from the higher side of the slope from damaging the asphalt or concrete. Keep in mind that building a road on a slope isn’t a good DIY project, as a lot can go wrong.

Surveys completed by licensed surveyors can be recorded with a local surveying records office, and in most cases, they will be. Filing survey reports categorize them as legal documents, and they can be used whenever legal documentation of your property’s boundaries is needed. While you’re not required to file survey documents, it’s a good idea to do so.
