"We have used Beko’s Tree for several years now, for both planned and emergency projects, and are grateful for their service! Beko is smart and professional, he prices his work fairly, and he is quick to help when trees have blocked our driveway. He provides sage advice on how to best approach dead and leaning trees, and how to best approach big trees on our high bank property. We highly recommend Beko’s!"

"Alex is incredibly honest, pragmatic and helpful. He assessed our community’s potential need and proceeded to discuss any potential restrictions on drainage with the county. We are restricted due to the infrastructure in the proposed drainage area - his thoroughness lost him work but gained our respect. We will look to him for any and all similar projects in the future."

"Keone is beyond professional! We had several hazard trees removed and after falling them his suspicions of diseased trees were revealed. Several trees were dead standing, had root rot and one had severe heart rot. To the untrained eye they seemed fine. We are so thankful for his skill in felling these dangerous trees with ease. Now I can sleep at night knowing I don't have trees close enough to hit our house. You definitely get what you pay for! Thanks again Keone!!!"

Land Clearing Services questions, answered by experts

Prior to excavation, you should prepare the dig site and call 311 before you sign anything.

To get your site ready for excavation, you should move anything in the area that isn’t affixed to the land. You can save money on the excavation by removing hardscaping, including walkways, decks, concrete patios, and paver patios.

Before you carry out any digging, you should call 311 to confirm that there are no utility lines running through your excavation site. Skipping this step could lead to severe injury and property damage if your excavator hits a water, sewage, or gas line.

If you or your mortgage lender think your land survey needs to be more accurate, double-check the survey report and get at least a second opinion from the original surveyor and an inspector, if possible. Although it’s unlikely, even reputable surveying companies can make mistakes. An inaccurate survey can cause problems down the road in the case of any property line disputes, so it’s best to resolve any inaccuracies as quickly as possible.

If you’re planning to dig on your property, you’ll need to check for underground utility lines. Call the national call-before-you-dig 811 number. Once connected to an operator, you can schedule a site visit to mark underground lines. This way, you won’t accidentally dig into pipes and can cause major (read: costly) issues.

Depending on property size and complexity, usually 1-3 weeks.

Costs vary, but you can expect to spend between $1,000 and $4,000 to prepare land for a mobile home or before you build a house. You’ll need to clear enough land for the foundation, which may require leveling or grading, as well as removing trees, stumps, and plants. Don’t forget to plan for permits and fees and the installation of a gas line, water line, and sewer main.
