"McBriens Fire & Flue helped us out big time!!! We paid a contractor to put in a fireplace liner, and the house filled up with smoke when lighting a fire in the fireplace when it was completed. Called the contractor back and he will not return our call. We called McBriens Fire & Flue that we found on the BBB. Omar and Crew did an amazing job!!! They told us the liner that was put in was too small. Omar assured us that when they are done putting in a bigger liner we will not have a problem. When McBriens Fire & Flue was done putting in the fireplace liner we were not sure it was going to work. Omar stayed and lit a fire in the Fireplace and tested and proved it was good!!!! Provided an estimate for service - rebuild from roof flashing up, repointing masonry, repairing mortar joints by replacing anything that’s deteriorated with new mortar. replaced the chimney crown and created a drip edge, installed stainless steel chimney pipe, cleaned and inspected the chimney, spot replaced spalling bricks on the chimney, power washed and sealed/waterproofed the chimney. Cleaned up work area thoroughly and provided photographs of chimney repair work before and after. Throughout the process, Chuck kept me informed daily on the progress and any issues he had found. They were prompt in responding to me, prompt in getting the work done, and communicative along the way. For whatever reason, I had trouble finding honest people to do my chimney work at a fair price but the experience with Shamrock was easy overall. They were also the cheapest quote for the work provided. I have a bit more work to do on my chimney (we have been getting smoke back into the living room from the fireplace) and I’ll hire Shamrock for that work as well. I recommend getting multiple quotes and multiple opinions since there is some subjectivity to chimney repair solutions in general."
