- CASCADE POOLSCascade pools started our project New Years 2021, ahead of schedule. We were originally scheduled for February or March 2022 begin date. We were told it would take 6 weeks. About $60k for a basic 16x32 vinyl pool. On 6/30/2022, I have nothing but a dirt pile and a hole with a frame. September 29, I’m just losing faith it’ll get done without a lawyer. Owner Jim Block leaves his assistant Paul in charge of all communication. Yet Paul will tell you he doesn’t do anything but scheduling. Jim will not return calls. We are severely disappointed with the service and the construction of the pool. The timeliness of this project has been intolerable. They had a third party leak company come to our home to assist with a leak in the liner. The liner had a 3 ft tear on the stairs. There was also a patch put on the floor liner that the company never even told us they did. It’s a new pool, it should not have patches. Cascade Pools has received the money way in advance of completion of the projects payment schedule. In addition, we have had insanely high water bills $100’s if not 1000’s wasted due to them asking us to keep the pool full when they never came by to check why the pool was being emptied (hence the leak). This is due to the companies negligence, lack of communication, and poor scheduling. We have had to replace all electrical on the outside of our home TWICE due to poor placement of electrical cords with open wiring and left in puddles of water. The teams that have come here have left their trash all over our yard as if it were a dumping ground. We've had no use of our backyard & have had to cancel events at our home to replace them with venues that we had to pay to use. We had issues with getting the electrical installed. First because they left the unit out in rain/snow and second because of poor planning with the electric company. Someone filled a hole where there is a potential leak near the filter leaving us with little faith and that this will be a future problem. One of their workers came to do work with a bobcat that ended up stuck for 8 hours. He used wood in our back yard to try to gain leverage to get it up. My family cleaned up the 2x4's that were left by them to get the machinery out where he erred on judgement driving. We understood there was some weather issues, however it was the job of the contractor to strategically and accurately place drainage based on the geographical features. In addition to understanding how our land on the water table would impact the timeliness of the job. None of this was brought up, in fact we were reassured on multiple occasions we were almost done, 2 weeks, etc. They told us 3 weeks ago that they would order the new liner and it would be installed within 1-2 weeks. Still not in. And no eta when it will be. We had made an agreement with them that they’d have everything done in 1 month and like I said we are in week 3 now and still no progress. This has been nothing short of a nightmare, which is quite the opposite of our plans for our family and this pool. Go somewhere else. They want your money and will do a shoddy job. Update *It’s the end of September, the electrical was rejected by the city. We are waiting on that and the concrete to be poured. I lost patience and just have wishful thinking that the job will eventually be finished without having to hire a lawyer. Feeling defeated

When I explained what I needed done, Mike knew exactly what was to be done. He really knows his profession. He came out and got to work. He was really very good. Mike and a co-worker estimated the time it would take, and started to work right away and met his own timeline. The pump is working and appears to be (Like the company) Flawless. I hope to use Flawless Pools in the future

"A&S subcontracts nearly every step of the installation and takes no responsibility for their contractors. Decking contractors failed inspection and had to redo decking twice, mediated by customer, not A&S. Raypack heater never had connectivity to Jandy wireless system. A&S took no responsibility for issue and gave up, leaving customer with defective product. Never saw sales representative after breaking ground.

"I've actually used Wave Motion Pools twice. The first time was last summer (2019) for an above ground pool install and the second time was this summer for equipment repair. Both times I was extremely happy with their service. Their most outstanding attribute (imo) is their work ethic! They truly want to help people and aren't out just to gouge us for every cent they can get. Their prices are fair and they have gone above and beyond to help me out. Greg was super knowledgeable about all aspects, from the install, to the equipment, to common problems in our area (I'm my case pungo). His communication is also fantastic. They have always responded to my messages within no later than a day but usually within an hour or so. If something came up and they couldn't make it when he said they would, he always let me know before they were due to be here. This is a great company to work with.
