Fantastic! With some issues before work started (not with them), I couldn’t have been more happy with all of the hard work that was done to help me get answers and quickly. I can’t say enough about the questions I had, that were answered almost immediately, even after standard work hours. If there was a question, even while work was being completed, it was addressed ASAP. My roof looks beautiful, it only took a day and a half to fully remove and install a brand new one, the employees were respectful and nice (I was even impressed at how “professional” their attire was. I will definitely refer anyone I know who is in need of roof work, to them

  • Holencik Roofing
After sustaining some roof and fascia damage to my home during Hurricane Sandy, Holencik was one of four roofers I contacted for estimates. All four roofers took at least three weeks to come see the scope of work due to the huge backlog of work generated by the hurricane. Holencik's price was a little higher than the lowest but their reviews here on Angie's List were very good. Holencik's estimate was right on target. The quality of work was excellent. My only concern was the lack of notice before workers arrived. I assume business is busy after storms, but I did not get an advance phone call prior to the roofers showing up to work. Not a big deal, but kind of surprising. The fascia team's scheduling is also strange. I had a two day fascia repair. I got a phone call well in advance that they were coming on the following Monday. That crew arrived as scheduled, but bad weather precluded work on Tuesday. Rather than tell their next customer that weather delays all work the rest of the week, my job got put to the back of the schedule and delayed until the next Monday. Can you guess the next twist? Yes, bad weather the next Monday had me shuffled to the back of the schedule again. It either rained or snowed for three Mondays in a row and my fascia sat half done the whole time. I really was in no hurry to the get job done and the crew leader called me often with schedule updates. I think if I insisted on a quick completion, he would have complied. The quality of fascia work was excellent. I just found it to be a really odd scheduling system. All things considered, Holencik is one of the best home repair companies I have ever come across

Joe replaced the crown and replaced damaged bricks. The problem is fixed, was done on time and as estimated. I like that Joe was there himself rather than a crew working on its own. Fair price, on time, good looking repair (bricks and mortar are pretty close match), and very easy to deal with.

  • Troy-Bilt Construction
I live in Spokane, WA and own this property in Elkton, VA. The property is rented. I was back there last year and fould the house in need of some repair.Being so far away I was concerned about finding a good contractor to do the work. I contacted Angies list in the area and found Troy listed. I contacted Troy by phone and set up a time to meet with him when I would be in VA. I visited the area in May of 2012, met Troy, we visited the house and he got estimates together on the work to be performed before I left the area to return to Spokane.I felt very comfortable with everything and signed the contract for the work to be done. Knowing I would not see the completed work except in pictures until I return in October, I felt comfortable with what had been decided. The work is now complete, pictures look great and I am satisfied with Troy's performance. I will use his services again when I decide on the next steps to take at the house

  • Valley Roofing
Valley Roofing did a fantastic job on replacing my roof. Upon making my initial call to them for an estimate, they project estimator contacted me very quickly to set up an appointment. After coming out to talk with me to see what was needed, he came back with a well presented quote with all the information on what materials were going to be used, costs and warranties in a very timely manner. The entire process was explained to me in great detail. The project managers were in contact with me throughout the process and afterward. Their crew had my steep 12/12 pitch roof shingles off in one day and had the new shingles on and completed the following day. They did a wonderful job of cleaning up my yard of debris after each day of work. I would recommend them for any roofing need

  • Valley Roofing
Valley Roofing puts quality first. They transformed our aging and uninteresting 90 year old farmhouse into a stunning residence that must be seen to be appreciated (drive by 40 E Weaver Av in Harrisonburg). They don't advertise themselves as exterior home designers but the decisions we made together (and Alan is very patient and thoughtful) resulted in an exterior that literally transformed our house into a home we are proud of. The work they did along with the materials and colors we chose together are very harmonious with the age of the house. Nothing looks added on. Their work is not cheap but they present excellent value: Our home is worth a lot more now than when they began their work. Highly recommended! Our friends are already working with them on a roofing project. Thanks

Great. Roofers did not come on scheduled date but after I called that afternoon we set up another date and the work was completed.

Within several days notice, Alan Martin arrived at an agreed upon time to evaluate roofing related problems at my new home. Later that day he presented me with a detailed estimate and work proposal. I agreed to his proposal several days later, and work-3 days-commenced about two weeks later. A prior home inspection report had suggested the roofing related defects of the home were a crucial and likely expensive item that needed to be dealt with. Valley Roofing patiently explained their approach and the negatives including shingles immanently coming loose, and eventual water damage to the basement from inadequate drain spouts if corrective work weren't to be done. Also, suggested the positive of money saving gutter covers-less need for annual cleaning. With work now completed my home faces fewer risks, and it looks great. At least the roofing portion. I unreservedly recommend Alan Martin and his firm Valley Roofing. Pete Johnsto

  • Valley Roofing
Valley did a very professional job. Their estimator did a very thorough job of checking the roof, including going inside the attic where he identified a leak and rotten plywood sheathing. The office kept me informed about schedule and accomodated a change I requested. Their installation supervisor spoke to me every day during the job to explain what was planned and then what was accomplished that day. They were careful to not make a mess, unlike other roofing jobs I have had in the past. The roofing crew knew their business and wasted no time. The job took four and a half days as I have a very steep roof with five dormers, plus weather caused delays on two days. I will say they were the highest of three bids, but I accepted Valley because I wanted quality and did not want to fight for quality details during the job. There were no disagreements during the job. I am quite happy and would recommend Valley to anyone wanting a quality job
