Provided prompt response to bid request. Gave estimate, said he could take care of the following week. Gave $500 deposit and he came back when he said he would and took half day to do the work. The repaired gates operate better than when the fence was originally built: I guarantee it. He said I owed him $650.00. He and his associate got $750.00 cash from me and I’m not sure the $100.00 “top” was enough. But, that’s all the cash I had. Hire this guy. If he says he can do it: he can do it. P.S. "I hired ShoreFix to replace a gate closure across my driveway. The gate is only a year old, and not many contractors want to deal with someone else's work without starting from scratch. By the time Dustin arrived I thought I was well-versed in my needs and prepared for the unnecessary upsell. The concept of what I needed done was on point. However, the practical work had a few details missing. I didn't have pins that fit into the driveway and I didn't have a handle to open and close the gate. He didn't try the unnecessary upheld and was willing to do exactly the work I needed. I appreciate ShoreFix for taking on the small job when no one else would.
