"I worked with Matt, and was able to get an appointment set up to happen within a few days at a competitive rate. He inspected and cleaned the chimney well, and also noticed breaks in the fireplace/chimney that would possibly lead to severe damage if they weren't repaired before use -- even going so far as to recommend how I could fix it myself, or offering to do it separately if I wanted someone else to. He was skilled, polite, and cared about doing a good/thorough job even beyond the description of what he came to do. I really appreciate his help and they'll be my first phone call next time I need similar work done. Thanks!"

"these guys did a great job diagnosing my chimney/creosote issue. I was very impressed that they recommended a product that i could buy on Amazon. Most companies would sell you a product from them at a profit for them."

"These guys are absolutely amazing. They were God sent. My husband was in rehab. And, needed rails and bars to be able to come home. These two very polite guys came out immediately. And, did a job well beyond expectations. Excellent work. They were quick and knew their job. I would absolutely, without a doubt or hesitation, recommend these guys. They are truly amazing. Thank you guys. And, God bless."

"Tom Rozier worked with us to plan and design the beds. He had some excellent ideas. The crew arrived as scheduled, and did a nice job of removing some old shrubs and installing new ones. We had an issue with two of the new plants, and Tom not only replaced them, but had his crew refresh both front beds. The work they performed was excellent. The crew was courteous and easy to talk with. We are very pleased with Dreamscape and highly recommend them."

"Company installed a new paver patio and did some irrigation work. Great communication from the time we hired them through completion. Due to weather the project was delayed several days so in installation day at least 5 or 6 workers showed up early. They worked the entire day and completed the project. It looks amazing. I would recommend this company again and again to anyone."

"Kyle and Casey are extremely competent craftsmen. Project exceeded expectations in all respects and would absolutely hire again. The details, including the portion of structure you can't see when finished, were "over engineered" for durability. Nicest pool deck in Sandbridge beach!"

Fire Pit Installation questions, answered by experts

If a storm or other natural disaster occurs in your area, you may not have immediate access to help. According to the U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency, keep a disaster preparedness kit in your home with enough essentials to sustain your family for at least 72 hours. Put this in an easily accessible location to have it handy in case anything unthinkable happens.

Wood-burning fireplaces typically make homeowners insurance more expensive, simply because they increase the risk for a fire in your home. Gas and electric inserts are less likely to bring up your insurance rates, but you should always speak with your agent to understand how installing any type of fireplace will affect your premiums.

Generally, an oil furnace is considered safer than a gas furnace for several reasons. While both types of furnaces can produce carbon monoxide, a leak in an oil furnace is easier to detect due to the smell. Oil furnaces also don't connect to a gas pipeline, which reduces the chance of a fuel leak. Most importantly, heating oil is not combustible, whereas natural gas is highly flammable. This means there is a much lower risk of combustion or explosion with an oil furnace. However, an oil furnace can still pose a fire hazard if it tips over.

Electrical fires are unique from other fire types because they have the potential to deliver electric shocks in addition to being on fire. Avoid serious injury from possible electrical emergency situations by avoiding the use of water, foam-based fire extinguishers, wet-chemical fire extinguishers,  flour, or baking powder to put out an electrical fire.

Most homeowners put a layer of compact sand or gravel at the bottom of their firepit, but you can also choose more decorative options like fire-resistant paving stones, bricks, or fire pit glass. Dirt by itself can even work, but other materials do a better job of spreading the heat around.
