Initially thought it was an OS update issue but the hard drive had failed along with other components (including 'CPU). Because other components were involved, a new solid state hard drive was put into a laptop with a working processor - same type CPU as in the failed unit. The laptop was repaired and returned in less than a week. This company picked up and dropped off the laptop (driving from Huntsville, AL (about 60-70 minutes)-- great service in this covid environment. "Contractor arrived earlier than scheduled and got straight to work.  Unfortunately the problem with the light involved more complex electrical work than I had thought so it was not fixed.  However, he did fix the problem I was having with the faulty lighting in the ceiling fans from my original request - I was using the wrong light-bulbs.  Go figure!

"Air gaps in doors -- he could not fix them and didn't give sufficient information as to why.  I believe he was not skilled with that type of repair (Note:  he rescheduled my first appointment because he said he wanted to be sure he had the right person to do the work; well that didn't happen).  
Realign storm door -- he fixed that, although right now I'm noticing the door closure to not be as good as it was when he fixed it.  
Install new outdoor light fixture -- did a fine job at installing the light fixture I provided.  He showed me how it worked too.  
Reconnect the electric outlet in my kitchen island -- he did a fine job connecting the wires.  
He was very nice and willing to work on whatever he could.  My highest priority was repairing the doors and only the storm door was fixed.    I am still waiting for him to send me an invoice for the work that was done and it's been six weeks.  
For the door incident and not mailing me an invoice, I unfortunately would not use him again.
