"Mark and his guys were great. It did take a while to get in touch with them initially, but that is because I was calling during a very busy time of year, so if you don't reach them immediately, just keep trying. The guys came on time, did a great job eliminating the leak in my pond and rebuilding a nice looking waterfall. I would definitely hire them again. The B rating on price is only because I am used to hiring someone who used to repair ponds for fun and charged hobbyist prices. Unfortunately, he passed away recently. Mark's prices were right in line with the other professional pond companies, I just had sticker shock because I was not used to hiring a water feature professional."

"They responded quickly and fixed the pipe. The work was fine but a little expensive. My only reservation was price, but it has been a while, so I don't feel I can answer other questions about the company with a lot of confidence."

Fountains questions, answered by experts

Though there are a lot of factors that go into caring for a koi pond, the most important maintenance you can do is frequent water checks using a koi pond test strip that checks the water for dangerous conditions.  In addition to regular pond maintenance costs, you’ll also need to winterize your koi pond if you live in a colder area.

Pond installation costs typically range from $1,500 to $10,000. The final price depends on several factors, including the pond's size, the materials used, excavation requirements, and any additional features such as waterfalls, lighting, or specialized habitats for fish like koi.

Regularly clean pumps, remove debris, and monitor water levels to prevent algae growth and clogging.

The average pond maintenance cost is $2,000. But how much you pay to take care of your pond depends on multiple factors, such as the size of the pond and whether fish live in it. Your area's climate also affects the overall maintenance cost, as you may need to winterize your pond to protect it and any aquatic life in it during the colder months.

In addition to length and width, pond liners also come in various thickness levels. Thickness is measured in mils, a unit of measurement equal to one-thousandth of an inch, with most pond liners ranging from 15 to 60 mils in thickness. The smaller the number, the thinner (and weaker) the liner. To prevent rips and tears, it’s best to choose a pond liner that’s at least 30 mils thick.
