"Provider was suppose to return and finish laying sand on the patio. Since job was very close to complete, I paid him rather than wait. I never heard from him again. The sand has since washed out in spots and another provider is correcting the situation with polymeric sand. Other than the sand issue, the patio looks good in the way it is laid out. Provider was punctual, and the project went very fast considering it was in the middle of the winter.

"I worked with Joe fall of 2020 to install a post and wire fence on my property with four board fencing along the road frontage. In bidding the project I reached out to six different fencing contractors in CVille and the surrounding area - Joe was BY FAR the most responsive and easiest to work with. After hashing out the project details via email and phone he promptly did a walk down of the property and generated a bid his prices were competitive with bids I received from the other contractors. On the first day of the install, Joe and his crew did an excellent job walking the project with me to ensure the fence line details were just what I wanted. The back corner of the property is somewhat complex with a stand of trees we wanted to keep intact. This crew did a great job working through the tight space and we were able to keep all the trees. My wife and I are both so pleased with the final result and could not be happier with the aesthetic improvements and function the fencing brought to our property! Joe was timely and supremely easy to work with during the entire process from initial project discussion, bid generation, fence detail negotiations, installation, and quality control/final inspection upon delivery. We can not recommend Joe enough!"

Fencing questions, answered by experts

For the most part, goats are friendly and won’t charge at you, but there are exceptions to this rule, as there are with any animal handling practices. Typically, goats don’t attack unless they feel threatened. Avoid cornering or rough handling goats to avoid getting head-butted, bitten, or kicked, and always supervise goats when they’re near children or pets.

Yes, installing wrought iron fencing will usually require a building permit, as do all types of fencing. Building permits for wrought iron fencing typically cost between $150 and $500, and the price will vary based on where you live and how much your local building department charges. You may also need to pay for a property survey if you’re installing wrought iron fencing on your property line. This type of survey can cost around $500, but it prevents issues with building on neighboring properties, which can be much more expensive in the long run.

Armadillos are attracted to water, so a leaky irrigation system or an overwatered lawn can encourage them to move in. They especially like wet areas where they can burrow and loose soil where they can dig for grubs. They are also attracted to dense ground cover, where they can often find food sources.

Vinyl and chicken wire are two of the best and most affordable materials for a DIY garden fence. Vinyl is a great option because it is cost-effective, easy to work with, and effective at keeping pests out. A vinyl fence can cost as little as $15 per linear foot, especially if you install it yourself. Chicken wire is even more budget-friendly, costing as little as $2 per linear foot. While chicken wire is more affordable, vinyl is a better choice if privacy is a concern. You can also add chicken wire on top of a vinyl fence for extra security.

Green branches are more flexible and easier to work with, but they'll shrink as they dry, which can loosen your fence weave over time—so you'll need to weave them extra tight to account for shrinkage. Some species, particularly willow, may also try to sprout when used green. For these reasons, it’s typically easiest to use branches that have dried for a week or two.
