"Christopher said it would be the easiest transaction I have ever made. He was correct! Texted him the address and had a dumpster later that day. Couldn't have been easier. Plus, very friendly and professional. Highly recommend this company for all your trash hauling needs."

"Short notice move, from apartment in Norfolk to Va Beach. Jeff was able to make it happen. Day of the move, Greg and Zack arrived on time, introduced themselves, surveyed the items to be moved and got started. Went real quick, one and a half hours after they arrived, they were leaving me in my new apartment. Quick, efficient service, they wrapped both TV's and handled everything with care. My new apartment manager was glad I was using Absolute Moving, she said she uses them for her own moving projects. Would use them again and recommend them for your moving needs. Michael M."

Small jobs welcome

Hi, I’m Girma Baker – owner and operator of FreshStart Hauling.\nI’m a local guy who started this company because I got tired of seeing good people stressed out over junk piling up in their garages, basements, and yards. Whether you’re finally ready to reclaim your garage, clearing out an estate, remodeling, or just need years of “I’ll deal with it later” stuff gone fast – I’ve got you.\nAt FreshStart Hauling, we show up on time, work fast, sweep up when we’re done, and always give you a fair, upfront price with no surprises. My goal is simple: earn your trust on the very first job so you’ll feel great about calling me back (or telling your friends and neighbors about us).\nReady to get that fresh start? Give me a call or text today – I’d love to help you take back your space!**\nGirma Baker\nOwner, FreshStart Hauling\n

"They guys were amazing.  Showed up shortly before the call time, unloaded everything perfectly.  Not a single item broken, and not a single scratch or bump on our wall or the condo hallways.
The guys were so very nice, friendly and professional, and worked at a good pace.
We would 100% recommend them to family, friends, and strangers.

"Most of the large items had already been moved out by a larger company. There were several items that he disposed of and made 3 deliveries on our behalf. He took a dinning room table to a location and went out of his way to do that. He also took the bulk of the items to habitat for humanity to donate the furniture that my mother didn't want anymore. The last thing he did was took all the items that were junk and took them to the trash for us. He did a great job and for the price I would recommend him. He went out of his way and adjusted his schedule for us."

Garbage Collection questions, answered by experts

Soil is just one of the items you shouldn't put down a garbage disposal. Garbage disposals are only meant for soft, non-fibrous foods. Large amounts of topsoil, dirt, or rocks will damage the blades of your garbage disposal or clog the pipes. If a small amount of dirt goes down the drain as you repot a plant, you shouldn't have to worry, but never dump a whole pot of soil in the sink for fast disposal.

Your garbage disposal will only affect the health of your septic tank if you’re using it too frequently, or filling it with organic waste that doesn’t fully break down. If the tank fills up with too many solids, the bacteria won’t have enough time to consume it before more is added, which can lead to an overflow in the drain field. Your tank will need to be pumped more frequently with excessive or improper garbage disposal use.

These appliances do unscrew, but you need to disconnect everything properly when you replace your garbage disposal. Make sure you shut the power off to the area first and check that it’s off with a voltage detector. Disconnect the main drain line and P-trap, and then disconnect the dishwasher drain line if you have one connected. You can then unscrew your garbage disposal using a disposal wrench. Just make sure you disconnect the electrical lines before removing your appliance.

No, you do not need a garbage disposal to have a dishwasher. A dishwasher will work without one, and while it's rare to see a home with a dishwasher that doesn't have a disposal, it is possible. The two appliances pair well and are often installed together because a disposal simplifies meal cleanup.

However, your dishwasher should not be used as a replacement for a garbage disposal. Subjecting it to continuous food leftovers can lead to major clogs. If you choose not to install a garbage disposal, you should thoroughly rinse your plates or scrape excess food into the trash or a compost pile before loading them into the dishwasher to prevent plumbing issues.

Your garbage disposal is not draining because it might have a clog due to food waste, a foreign object, grease, oil, fat, or it may have a broken motor. When water doesn't flush out of the disposal, that's a key sign that your disposal has a clog or needs repair.
