"Found Sentri on Angi. Jeanette and Violet were very pleasant and efficient in getting a contractor to me in the time frame needed. The contractor was excellent and the roof looks great! I would definitely work with them again if I had additional projects."

"This is my second A review of Rife Remodeling. They also replaced our roof in 2016. There is no better review than a repeat customer! I immediately contacted John when we decided we wanted to fence the yard. He was quick with the estimate, but I had not expected it to be completed until warmer weather. But his crew was here in just a few days to get started. Super nice bunch who do fantastic work and clean up after themselves. Very very pleased with the fence, the price, and the crew. The dogs are loving the yard too! I will be seeing them for the next project!!"

"I had a 15’ x 15’ flat roof over a portion on my new home that had deteriorated badly. Most roofing companies in my area won’t work on flat roofs except for large commercial jobs, but J.S. Construction was willing to do it. They were significantly less expensive that the only other company that would do the work. Jesse did a thorough assessment of the work that needed doing and his professional, skilled workers completed the flat roof replacement and also completed a number of other minor repairs on the roof overall. I will absolutely be calling them again when the rest of the roof needs replacement. Couldn’t ask for better."

"Fortitude Construction was absolutely awesome! From the start of the process to the end. The worked they performed putting the new roof on my house I could not have been more completely satisfied with. They were kind and generous and an absolute pleasure to work. I would highly recommend Fortitude to any and everyone that is looking to have roof work done. Truly the best!"

"Wonderful job! Mr. Dudley works with his son and wife and they got things done fast and efficiently. They knew exactly how to fix a wide variety of issues and even offered suggestions on how to save money on other issues. It was a great experience - I highly recommend this team."

Roofing questions, answered by experts

While two-layer torch down roofs are easier to install than three-layer roofing, it is best not to DIY the installation. Torch down roofs require expert knowledge of the application process to get it right the first time and prevent leaks or poor craftsmanship, not to mention that roof work can be dangerous.

Rain shouldn’t come in through your ridge vents unless your vents are damaged or the rain is accompanied by very high winds. Most ridge vents use flashing or baffling to keep out rain, snow, and debris. If your ridge vent isn’t baffled, rain is more likely to enter your attic, so ridge vents with baffles are a better choice in areas with regular rainfall.

Yes, an underlayment is required for metal roofs, especially when installed over an indoor residential living space. This underlayment acts as a protective barrier between the metal roofing and the roof deck. Common materials include tar, asphalt felt, or woven synthetic polymers. Depending on local building codes, existing shingles in good condition may also suffice. A quality underlayment is crucial as it provides protection against water intrusion, improves energy efficiency through insulation, helps absorb sound, and ultimately extends the lifespan of your roof.

When it comes to choosing the best roof color for a blue exterior, you have plenty of options. For a classic neutral look, go with a light gray, dark gray, or black roof. Blend gray tones if you want a more eye-catching look for your roof, or go for a different splash of color with a green or even red. Take inspiration from your neighbors if you want your house to fit in on the block.

Yes, shingle brand can affect bundle sizes, with some brands weighing more than others and having slightly differing numbers of shingles.
