"They were prompt, professional and very reasonable to handle what I thought was a gutter replacement, which ended up a minor fix costing only a few hundred dollars. CENVAR was honest. Their integrity means more than the repair itself. Out of three quotes, CENVAR told me exactly what was needed and when they could do the repair. One company though very honest, said the job was too small. The third company said I needed complete gutter replacement and made up reasons why, quoting thousands to complete the job. "They?re slimy sales person. Alex came to my home and convinced me and my husband to apply for financing for the roof we dreamed of. We were preapproved for the full amount but they required an additional $1000 to get everything started, we agreed. A few days later, we hadn?t heard back from anyone so we called, the manager told us they needed to put us on a three-way conference with the credit card company to receive an account number on the preapproved credit so they could actually charge the $14,500. This meant opening up the account as a trade line on my credit but they assured me that my roof would have an install date as soon as I paid the $1000. After paying the $1000, Nathaniel called me to tell me they made an error and they underestimated my contract and they needed an additional $25,000. Now we are screwed."

An improperly installed skylight could potentially impact your roof's warranty. This happens because roofing penetration is necessary during skylight installation. Check your warranty information to verify. In most cases, having skylights professionally installed with proof that flashing is being done to specifications can be enough to preserve your roof's warranty.

Whether you should choose a flat roof or a sloped roof depends on your particular situation. Flat roofs tend to be less expensive to install. However, sloped roofs have longer lifespans and stand up better to heavy snow and other inclement weather.
