"Awful. If I could give 0 stars for professionalism... that would be the ideal answer. I hired Brian to remove a tree from my yard. While cutting the tree down, a piece fell and broke my neighbor's fence. Instead of coming to tell me, he tried to hide it until my son told me. Brian then said he would come back and fix it since it was a simple and cheap fix. That was the lie. Brian and his crew left as fast as they could and left the giant tree in large pieces on the ground. We attempted to contact him to fix his mistake and he completely ignored us. DO NOT HIRE."

Speeding up grass seed germination is possible, but it requires quite a bit of extra work and commitment. Keeping the soil moist is key, but here are a few other tried-and-true methods for growing your new grass as quickly as possible:

  • Mist grass up to eight times per day to keep the soil moist.

  • Purchase a moisture-retaining seed coating for your grass seeds.

  • Amend soil that is compacted or in the wrong pH range.

  • Choose the right grass seed for your area’s climate and soil conditions.

  • Avoid planting on windy days or during periods of extreme rain or drought.

It depends on the condition of the grass during the drought. If your grass completely died, it won’t turn green again after drought. However, if it just went dormant, you still have a chance to revive your lawn once drought conditions have passed. Keeping a consistent watering schedule for your new sod will help prevent this issue and will help it thrive as it roots into your yard.

Once your sod is about six weeks old, you can start to establish a regular lawn maintenance routine, complete with mowing, edging, and fertilizing.
