I was very pleased with everything, the technician (Brian) was very knowledgeable and patiently explained everything he did and answered my questions. He was very punctual and professional, I now get many compliments on my lawn and most definitely will continue Firefly Lawn Service and recommend them to my friends and neighbors :-)

Do not do business with this company...don’t know how they stay in business...on the day they were supposed to bring my lawnmower back (had it for the full two weeks) I called to see when they were going to drop it off and the owner proceeded to tell me that he tried to call me all week and left messages for me..I didn’t have any voicemail or missed calls from him so I told him that I need my mower back and was even willing to drive 40 minutes to Fredericksburg to pick it up..he then told me that they didn’t allow that and for me to “shut the **** up and wait till next week”...as a small business owner myself I could never imagine talking to a customer like that...Next time we will do a little more research before selecting a company, as there are many negative reviews online that would have made us look elsewhere for lawnmower maintenance.

Steve has saved our lawn! When he completed his analysis of our lawn, we found out we had clover, ground ivy, bermuda grass and broadleaf in our yard. We had bare spots in our back yard in several places. After overseeding in 2015, our lawn is so green, thick and mostly weed free! Do we have some weeds? Of course we do, but very few in comparison to pre-treatment.. With the over-seeding, Steve explained the whole process and the requirements on our part and left us with very clear and detailed written instructions for a successful over-seeding,. This included explanation of what to expect and not to expect, what is guaranteed and what is not . Was it tedious to move sprinklers around the yard up to four times a day for for two weeks? Yes. But the final product is amazing, and we are so glad to have found Firefly. He has always been very responsive to our emails or calls. We have never had any problems others noted in their reviews for the two years we have used his service. We started service with Firefly after we saw how green and lush our neighbor's lawn was after using Firefly. Our other neighbor across the street also had the over-seeding and has been just as pleased. As part of his service, Steven sends offers with discounts such as 10% off custom care services for grub control, aeration, tree and shrub program, Bermudagrass control, etc. Well worth the money! **Price listed below was for a year's worth of treatments of the "Economy" program (6 services a year).

Every service we have requested has been completed to the fullest. We have used Firefly for many years now and have always been completely satisfied with the service. We had a crab grass problem and Firefly was able to eliminate our problem and make our yard beautiful again. We have had a service agreement with Firefly ever since the first time they came out. They are always punctual, polite, knowledgeable and we wouldn't want any other company working on our lawn. Thank you Firefly for superior service!!

I have used this Company for two years and have been very satisfied, the tech is very pleasant and always explains exactly what he is doing. My lawn gets treated approximately every two months and I would not use any other Company. My neighbors are always telling me how beautiful my lawn is. Thank you Firefly.

Weeds grew like I've never seen before, almost as if they were being encouraged to grow somehow, not even sure how one would do that, but Firefly has a gift. Called to retreat repeatedly, ignored my calls, repeatedly. Withheld payment until they came back to treat my 4 foot high weeds, he sent sheriff and I was subpoenaed to court where owner blatantly fabricated lie after lie and won huge settlement. I appealed with better evidence and prepared to go to battle and he didn't show. Research carefully and be forewarned!

"We worked for this customer in 2010. After 1 year she did not pay us anything and cashed in on all the free sprinkler work. This included county backflow inspection and sprinkler repair. We took her to small claims and won our court case. Subsequently she when online and gave us bad reviews on 32 websites. Never have I encountered such a bitter customer. Check out our reviews on demand force. Just search for reviews on Google. We have 95% positive review rate. I personally will do anything for a customer, but I have to defend myself from those that want to take advantage."

Firefly treated my lawn without my permission. The stopped and spread a fall fertilizer and weed killer on my lawn without contacting me first. They then sent me a bill for $52.00. When I refused to pay, the sent the bill to a collection agency. I was finally forced to pay just to end the problem. Now the Collection agency wants additional fees. It's an ongoing fight now.

We have continue service as usual $52 once every two months since then. For some inexplicable reason, you stopped paying us regularly in June 2014. I attempt to contact you for several months. It wasn't until late fall that we placed you on collections. I have no record of every having you contact us for any reason. Please call the office and I will assure you I will be happy to resolve the matter."

"(Member name removed) hired and paid us to deliver his mower to Greenline Repair. I did so for the cost of $45. About one month later, he blamed me for losing the keys to it. I gave them to the repair shop."

I don't know what this company puts down for weed treatment, but it clearly does not work. I purchased a full year contract and gave them the whole year to prove their weed treatment worked, but even after they treated the lawn the weeds never went away. These were basic weeds that emerge in the spring, some that try to come to life in the summer and the typical end of season final treatments. They were responsive in coming back out when I requested supplemental treatments, but their preventer/treatments just didn't work. I know this now because I've gone with another service this year and immediately I'm seeing results on the weeds. I think Firefly may try to use some organic treatment, but whatever it is it never worked for my yard.

"We have a very active policy for free callbacks and quick response. [removed member name] called us back twice. We take pictures at every visit. The first year you get a lawn service, weed have a tendency to actually get worse. There are no pre-emergence for dandelion, clover, spurge, etc. There are for crabgrass, but broadleaf weeds can actually flourish the first year. If [removed member name] had called us at the end of year and there was no improvement, we would have eagerly given him a full refund for the year. I think this situation could have used a little more patience."
