"One word . . impressed! We recently purchased our home and the current McCrea service contract was rolled over from the prior owners. We had no idea what to expect. First, McCrea customer service noticed we hadn't scheduled a service, so they called and scheduled our maintenance. Our technician, Stephen, called prior to arriving, he cared about our home and covered his shoes. He took the time to answer questions regarding our HVAC unit and show us how to properly maintain our unit between checkups. We had no idea the humidifier had a filter and he showed us how to take it out, and what kind of filter to replace it with. He also said that they could add that servicing to our contract, if we didn't want to handle it ourselves, but it a suggestion not a forced sale. Very professional, well trained and ethical. We intend to add our water heater and our future fireplace to our future contract. Finding an ethical service and repair company is like finding gold. We highly recommend McCrea Heating & Air Conditioning."

"They did a good job and eventually found a loose wire that fixed everything... But if the original prices quoted had been paid out I would have been pretty sad with their pricing. However, I only had to to pay out the agreed upon service fee and the well trained technician did an excellent job! The only reason this is not five stars is because they're quoted prices for refrigerant and other possible repairs were very high."

"Contacted Total Comfort as soon as we realized our unit had stopped blowing cold. Unfortunately it was in the evening and after hours (isn't that always the way). Received a call back from an on-call technician within just a few minutes. I explained what was going on and he was more than willing to jump in is truck and head over but was very straight forward and explained that he could diagnose but there was always a possibility he may not have the parts needed that night. I hadn't considered that and was appreciative of his candor. Thunder storm rolling (thankfully) so I knew the temps were going to drop for the evening and told the tech I'd push the service call until the next day. He asked that I contact the office first thing to get on the schedule. Next morning I received a call from Total Comfort before I could call them and they scheduled a tech to come out between 1pm and 4pm that afternoon. A little before 1pm, the tech "Alex R" called to let us know he was on his way. Yes, that's correct. They set a service window between 1pm and 4pm and they actually showed up at the beginning of the quoted service window not and hour or two after it (which seems more the norm for service contractors). Skipping ahead to the most important part... Alex was awesome. Not just punctual but extremely polite, knowledgeable and efficient. He diagnosed the problem, offered the solution, answered our questions, asked for authorization before proceeding and didn't try to up-sell. That's the support a homeowner expects. "We were expecting company from out of town for three weeks, the day before they were scheduled to arrive our heat pump that serves the first two floors or our house began to make loud noises inside and outside the house.  I was in panic mode not expecting something like this to happen on short notice, I had to act quick.  The last heat pump we replaced for the third level of the house 5 years ago cost us over $6,500.00 so I was worried this would be even more costly!!!!  That heat pump was installed and purchased from another company not Merrymans, because at the time we weren't using Angie's List.
Not wanting another huge bill and a long wait for the repair, I decided to check Angie's List for a new heating and cooling company in our area.  I am so glad I did, Merryman's are superior!!  They came out same day I called and found the problem, gave me an estimate which I am very pleased to say was really reasonable!!  The new heat pump was installed the very next day ahead of schedule.  Everyone that I spoke with from Merryman's was extremely effecient, kind and just great people.

"Our AC died last week and the first company provided us 3 replacement options. We selected the middle option ($16,000) and signed the contract, which provided us a 5 day cancellation period. Installation was scheduled for Friday. I solicited other companies quotes using the estimate provided by the first company and all declined stating I needed to schedule an appointment for someone to come out to take measurements, etc. Our inside temperature was 98 degrees. Advanced Environment Solutions provided us an unbinding estimate of $9,600. a better warranty and immediately dispatched a technician to take measurements and install a portable AC unit until the new one could be installed. Our unit was installed Friday. What a bunch of professionals! The team arrived at 6:30 am and were done by 11:00 am. To our surprise, we received a fruit basket from Advanced Enviroment Solutions the following day thanking us for selecting them! Who does is anymore? Hey competitors... Who can top Advanced Environment Solutions??? Need your system serviced or replaced? Advanced Environment Solutions gets our vote!"

"Computer did the "gotta send info to Microsoft" but when tried to reboot it ran through automatic repair without success. I did all the alternative without any success. He came and picked up the hard drive on Tuesday and returned it on Saturday. Fortunately he was able to "restore" without any data loss. Very happy with outcome."

"Initially ran into an issue with my home's gates failing (it wasn't the companies fault) and then had to make a couple service calls because humidifier wasn't properly installed after the first couple visits. Overall the customer service was great, and techs were very responsive and explained the process very well. Would recommend for future work."
