"I had a sump pump installed in my existing pit (which did not have a pump). I was very pleased with the installation, and the installer was excellent. Once he had cleaned out and drained the sump pump pit, he helped me test the drain by my water heater and we were able to get some water to flow through it to the pit. On the outside, the installer ran PVC pipe from the foundation to a small area about 5 feet away where my downspouts drain. He even dug a small trench from the foundation to the drain area so the pipe would be slightly underground, and then covered everything back up nicely. He was very friendly and easy to work with.
