"What a terrible experience. There is no supervisor on site despite being told there would be. I had broken sprinkler lines despite having marked them in paint and pointed out the markings. I had to correct the concrete forms because the radius was not to specifications nor was it level. The stone wall was placed in the wrong place and had to be redone. And to top it off they broke both mine and my neighbors mailboxes and refused to pay for the damage."

Yes, concrete is significantly stronger than masonry, especially if the concrete pour includes reinforcements, like steel rebar. Concrete is a uniform material that can withstand compression, sheer force, and tensile force as long as it’s reinforced. The main ingredients to make concrete are cement, water, air, and aggregate for proper formation. Mixing concrete occurs just before use to ensure proper curing after it is combined with water. Cement, however, is the key ingredient to concrete, and includes a collection of natural binding elements and sand, clay, and limestone.
