Failed to adhere to contract. Something happened to the Asphalt Paver and it was unable to finish the bottom part of the driveway with the hot mix asphalt that was specified in the contract. Instead, the bottom portion was filled in with cold asphalt. When questioned about the discrepancy, Rick became angry and belligerent and began yelling at my wife.

Excellent service! My husband setup the appointment at the last minute due to bad weather constantly rolling in, but the gentleman from Paveco was ready that morning to come out and do the seal coating when asked. I was very impressed but was even more impressed when I was unable to make it back home from errands before the young man finished, and he patiently waited for me to return so I could pay him for his work. He never called me to ask where I was even though several unforeseen circumstances made it nearly impossible to get home in time. The driveway looks amazing and the young man told me to call anytime I had questions. A few hours after he worked hard to get it all done, rain that wasn't on the forecast hit, but our driveway still looks awesome.

Paveco did my driveway as part of a group deal in our community of over 500 homes. Paveco actually did tens of driveways in 2018 after a competition. They were very competitive in pricing and they had satisfied satisfied customers. Many more in the community are planning to have them do their driveways in 2019.

Communication was great, price was great, time to deliver was great. End product was not so great. My 2yr old driveway was damaged in certain areas after we had large equipment brought in for a backyard remodeling project. I didn’t go with the original company who put in the driveway due to costs, which I regret now. The length of my driveway has some minor wavyness to it where you can tell they stopped and started the paving machine. It isn’t so bad that it bothers me, so I would consider that part sufficient and am not holding that against them. The problem is/was the pad in front of my garages. My pad used to drain to behind my second garage which backs to the side of my yard, so it was out of sight, out of mind. After their work my pad now drains to my back yard and floods a walkway I have there. You can easily see large various dips throughout the pad, one which creates a 12 ft long puddle in the driveway. I contacted the company and they came out and told me puddling was expected, and they list that in their paperwork, which to their credit they do mention puddling may occur. However I assumed that meant maybe a random 12in puddle, not a large, deep puddle. The owner offered to mill the driveway down to further enable the drainage out of the puddle, or to give me a free sealant application as a resolution. Neither are ideal to me as I paved the whole driveway vs just repairing individual broken sections so the driveway would be uniform and you wouldn’t be able to pick out repaired sections. Sealant wouldn’t fix my problem and the milling would obviously leave remenants of “patch work” being completed which avoiding that was the whole point of redoing the entire driveway. Of course this also wouldn’t resolve my issue of the driveway draining to the wrong area. In addition to this they got tar on my garage doors, side entry doors, a vinyl fence I have, and I have tar boot prints now on a stone walkway I have. I had to repaint and scrub after the job was complete to get off what I could. I didn’t have this type of issue when I originally had the driveway installed by another company, so with more careful action I know this all could of been avoided. They also had access to open and close my garage doors at will which they did. Second opinions from other asphalt companies I currently getting quotes to fix the issue, have confirmed this puddling and dips should not be present. Pictures show the puddle, and then the puddle after being filled with a hose to show were it would drain to if it is filled with a stream of water.

We had our driveway (~3000 sq ft) completely re-paved the prior year, so the new pavement is almost exactly a year old, and so we started looking for companies to seal the driveway. After researching and talking to several people, we decided that we wanted to have the driveway sealed with "oil-based" (vs. "water-based") sealant, and we contacted a number of companies in our area (near DC; mostly via Angieslist.com) but Paveco was one of the few companies that we found that did oil-base sealing. According to Sheila (Paveco) they ONLY use oil-based sealant. [Oil-based sealant will "soak into" the asphalt, whereas water-based sealant "coats" or sits on top of the asphalt. What we were told was that because the water-based sealant sits on top of the asphalt, it is possible that, with the asphalt expanding and contracting, small cracks can appear.] It was not always possible to contact the company "immediately", I think because they are pretty busy, but they always responded to messages that we left for them, and they also responded to our emails. We actually ended up kind of "negotiating" for re-sealing our own driveway plus for one of our neighbors, and Paveco was very flexible with scheduling the work, which was great and gave both of us very good prices (one of the other companies that said they could do oil-based sealing quoted us prices that were significantly higher; plus that other company could not give us a definitive timeframe for getting the job done, which was important, because we wanted to get the sealing done before the weather got too cold). As far as the job itself, they (Paveco) showed up exactly as scheduled, and they did a very neat job, and put ribbon/tape in front of our driveway after they were done. I am not an "expert", but to us (my wife and I) they did a very nice job and were very professional. Overall? Recommended (if you need driveway sealing done :)) !

It was wonderful, he knows what he's doing and he did a wonderful job. He redirected the water so it will not pond in anymore, he widened the asphalt so that the tire wont go on the driveway anymore

Working with PaveCo was easy and professional from start to finish. They performed a free estimate promptly, and also worked around our schedule to perform the work when it was convenient for us. Josh explained the process, products, and limitations of the work he would perform in a clear manner. I am very happy with the hot crack fill and seal coat that was performed and would recommend PaveCo for any future work.

They took the time to explain what they were going to do and why. They showed up on time and completed the project when they said they would for the price agreed upon. They were very friendly and courteous. Before they left, they cleaned up everything to include the street. I can’t wait for when they return to do the first sealer coat. I highly recommend them for all your paving projects.

I'm very pleased with the results. It looks very professional, and they did a great job of smoothing out a very steep incline at the front of the driveway. So far, it has held up really well to the various delivery trucks that use our driveway as a turnaround.
The price was good - I got 3 quotes and paveco came in at the lowest. They were punctual, and got the job done very quickly and without much disturbance.

Driveway looks great but during the work the owner of the company constantly brought up the fact that he would no have bid the job for as low as his son had, but assured me he wouldn't short me on the work. My biggest concern is that they broke my brick walkway and have yet to repair it. I waited nearly a month for them to fix this before I rated them but maybe this will motivate them enough to take care of the damage.

would not recommend. the work was excellent, but during the work they damaged the stone retaining wall around my yard. i would expect any damage they caused to be repaired, they bitched and complained and made excuses. In the end i fixed it myself. they also left trash and broken tools in my yard.

I was exceptionally pleased with Paveco's work. The owner, Rick, and his son were both on the job the whole time. The crew was professional and arrived on time. Rick called two days before to let me know when they would arrive.  The whole job was done in about 4 hours and looks great. I have watched other driveways being replaced and it is not often you see commercial grade paving equipment used on residential jobs. I would definitely recommend Paveco for any driveway project.

This was my first time having a driveway sealed, so I might not be as knowledgeable on the topic, but I thought there should have been some other cracks filled on my driveway - I understand spider cracks are not filled by most driveway companies.  They filled 3 large cracks well, but the fill only lasted a few weeks.  The sealant on the driveway seemed like it was high quality - very glossy finish compared to the dull finish of other providers.  Cost seemed a bit higher than other providers.  Very responsive staff.

This is a small husband and wife company which has been operating this business for over 20 years.  They were recommended to me by some close friends of mine, who had been using this company for years to seal their long driveway.  Due to being a small company, you may have to wait 1-2 weeks to be put on the schedule to have the driveway sealed.

They patched some small holes in my driveway and then sealed it with the industrial grade material.  The finished product is a driveway that absolutely shines.  This is the second year that I have used this company.

The price is higher than I would have paid for driveway sealing form other companies but the claim is that their product will last twice as long... based on that, the price per year is competitive and fair.  We are very happy with the results of their work thus far.  I gave them a B punctuality rather than an A because they did not arrive on the day originally scheduled due to delays at other jobs earlier in the day and a B in professionalism because I had to call them to learn that rather than them calling me to let me know.  This would certainly not prevent me from recommending them or using them again, just an area for improvement.

bouAsked them for a quote from Angies list. Got a a call immediately. Gave me a complete estimate the next day and came to pave the driveway within two days. Performed an excellent job. There was some spots where the asphalt was loose. They made sure to remove it and repave it. Excellent work and  competitive pricing. Would absolutely recommend.

I contacted Paveco Asphalt Paving via their web site in late May of 2010. The owner, Rick George, contacted me the next day by phone and we scheduled a visit for him to evaluate my driveway and give me an estimate. Rick showed up on-time for the estimate appointment, discussed the project with me in some detail, then wrote up an estimate. He told me that the work would take less than a full day and that the starting date would be in three to four weeks, depending on the weather. (They cannot pour asphalt when it is raining.) Rick called me after about two weeks to let me know that the start date would be closer to the four-week mark, then contacted me again on about June 18 to tell me that the work date would be June 21. Rick and his crew arrived at about 8 AM on June 21 and promptly set to work digging out the old driveway. They then put down a new gravel base and poured about 3 inches of new asphalt. They cleaned up every bit of debris and left the work site extremely clean, with tape and stakes neatly marking off the driveway to keep us off it for 48 hours. It is now late December and six months later the driveway is holding up beautifully. It still looks great and there are no signs of trouble. Paveco contacted me promptly, gave me great information, quoted a reasonable price, showed up on time, and did terrific work. I will calling them back in a few years to seal the driveway. I recommend them.
