Precision Paving

Everything went well from the beginning. The Precision Paving representative explained everything involving what the options, the schedule to perform the work and what the costs would be. The work was done when it was proposed, with a delay which was necessary because the original date was raining. The result was an excellent job and I will use the contractor when I am ready for a re-paving.

Great. They completed all work in one day. Cut out damaged asphalt. Filled holes with appropriate patch material and tamped with a steam roller. Applied 2 inches of new asphalt. We have a rather large driveway too so I believe the price was a very good value given the repair work needed and size of the area paved. It really looks great.

What a great company! Precision Paving listened to our concerns as to width and dimensions, offered suggestions and options, gave us a detailed estimate for free, and waited until we could get the two tree stumps ground out of our driveway before proceeding. They arrived on time, did a top-notch job of grading, compacting, rolling and finishing a beautiful new driveway for us. Very professional, completed in one day, and they professionally integrated the driveway into our existing walkway. We highly recommend them.

Outstanding work! They gave me a good scheduling estimate so I had an idea of when they'd be out. They did have an unexpected opening on a Monday and called me on Sunday, the day before. Lucky for me, I was going to home on Monday. They showed up about 10:30 and were finished by 2:30. I couldn't be happier. This is the way customer service should be everywhere!

Extremely well! It looks fantastic.
The crew showed up on time and immediately went to work to prep for the repaving. There was a 10' wide spot where tree roots had buckled the old asphalt and a few soft spots. The crew was very professional and clearly accustomed to their jobs. 
John gave me a target completion time of early afternoon.
The job went smoothly and sure enough, they finished early afternoon.
They were very careful and did a fantastic job. Great looking edges and very smooth.

We had a unique situation with our old driveway where water would sit at the bottom of our driveway after rain because of poor drainage.  I called Precision Paving because I heard from our neighbors they had done an excellent job for them in the past.  So I reached out to John directly, owner of Precision Paving, and he scheduled w/ me to personally come out to my house to inspect the driveway and to assess the repair it would take to fix the problem (which by the way was far more complex than I can explain here).  After he had spent over half an hour carefully assessing the driveway, John came up with a workable solution at the best price he could offer and boy were we happy to have found someone so knowledgeable, so willing to assist and still able to offer a solution that wouldn't require an arm and a leg!  John offered to do the work at a great price.  So I went on to immediately sign the contract and told John to do the repaving as soon as he could.  John, who I want to mention is super friendly, courteous and extremely patient, called me a day later to tell me that Precision Paving would be doing the repair the next day.  My wife and I were ecstatic.  The following day John and the crew showed up on time and immediately went to work.  The crew was professional, friendly, and they took their time to make sure the job was done correctly.  I have zero complaints about these guys and I have shared our experience with our neighbors and friends.  We have gotten compliments after compliments about our new driveway and we couldn't be happier about the service from A to Z.  Great job John and crew, we will continue to spread the word and many THANKS again for coming to our rescue!

The owner was quick to respond to a request for an estimate.  The job was to pave a u-shaped driveway, 12 feet wide, tapering out to 20' in front of house, and then back to 12'.  Driveway was to have gravel spread on either side to prevent any type of "lip" to the asphalt.  The estimate was acceptable and the job was completed within 2 weeks, based on weather.  The kids LOVE the new surface, I love the lack of gravel and dirt being tracked into the house, and it definitely made a difference when the snow finally came.  I felt like there was good communication, good clean-up, quality product, and overall satisfaction with job.  I wish the price was lower but I'm hoping that the rest of the features and quality reflect the additional cost.

Prior to the job, they contacted Miss Utility and had all underground utilities marked. They obtained all necessary permits.
On the day of the job, the owner, John, showed up at 8:30 AM as promised with a crew of 7 men, all of which have been with the company at least 10 years. They had 2 large dump trucks, a grader, 2 mechanized rollers, an ashalt paving machine and numerous hand tools. John greeted me, and told me what his crew would be doing. His crew carefully used hand tools to dig next to the existing concrete pad and remove the old gravel. They marked lines of the driveway, and then used a grader to smooth the existing gravel driveway. New stone was added and then everything was compacted with a roller. Where a side pullout existed that had not been graveled before, additional stone underlay was added and compacted. Once the driveway had been graded and marked, the trucks arrived with the hot asphalt, and skillfully laid. Two operators were on the asphalt paver, with 4 men on either side using hand tools to tamp and shape the sides. As they proceeded down the driveway, a 7th crew member used a roller to compact the freshly laid asphalt.
As they were nearing the end, several of the crew members used rakes to pull stone up to the sides of the asphalt to give a beautifully finished effect to the new driveway. They also swept and examined the entire job to ensure it was level.
The entire job took just under 5 ours from arrival to departure, and they did a beautiful job! My wife and I would highly recommend Precision Paving to anyone looking for a professional job, done by a family run company that has been in business for 60 years!

John and his team arrived the day before to prepare the driveway space and they confirmed all specifications from the quote we received in June.
The following day, they arrived promptly at 9am in the morning to start paving. Paving was completed by 1pm! The team was both professional and hard working. The equipment was brought in with no impact to neighbors and removed just as efficiently.

The team of 8 men each knew their jobs and quietly went about their work. They had to completely remove 2 major sections of driveway. They did an excellent job. They had the right equipment and got the job done. The edges of the driveway are very precise and I thought they had selected a good name for their company. One neighbor stopped by to talk about my driveway and told me t hat he was admiring it. I saw another man stop to get theirname and number from a sign. They will return in 6 weeks to seal the driveway. That is an additinal 200 dollars but will finish the project off completely and be done with. I don't plan to do any projects now without consulting Angie's List. I mentioned to my neighbor that stopped by that I had got their name from Angie's List. Thank you for your help.
