He left to buy new one at Fluvanna Ace Hardware, Returned promptly, and installed new one. Duration of service about 1 1/2 hours (including trip to Ace!) "Paul and Andrew diagnosed that the back porch lamp had a rusted the socket.  They went to a building supply store, bought a similar fixture to the one that needed to be replaced, and were back quickly to install it.
They worked efficiently and professionally and were very personable. 
They also gave me a quote for what it would cost to replace the other outside light fixtures, which was very reasonable.  We will be calling them again for future electrical work.
