"Beware of shipping issues with this company. Ordered an ice maker installation kit on 10/10/25. Shipping was due no later than 10/20 according to company and FedEx tracking. FedEx tracking showed the package at their facility for 8 days without moving beginning on 10/15. Called FedEx 3 times. Each time they said they cannot find package and I have to contact shipper. Shipper has to make a claim, they will not mark it as lost. Called Appliance Parts Pros twice. Each time they say FedEx has to mark package lost before they will do anything. They also state they have to wait 14 days from them before doing anything because of their contract with FedEx. I don't care about their contract, I want what was ordered and paid for. Just going in circles with them and FedEX. If they shipped after 14 days it would be 22 days from that point, 32 days from the date of order if they shipped it that day. There was a deadline for installing this part before tenants arrive. They did not care, would not m"

"We could not be happier with the service and the quality of the work from Valley Roofing.  Our home is 5000 Sf and 120' long.  It was an old country store for many years and had presented numerous challenges to say the least.  Lowell's thorough inspection and assessment of the job allowed him to recommend products that best fit our requirements for vinyl siding, gutters, decking, handrails and sun tunnels.  He explained the pros and cons of different products and advised us on what would work best.  Jeff and Joe the siding crew are perfectionists to say the least.  Their attention to detail, workmanship and ability to solve a multitude of challenges involving vinyl and metal trim on an old house that has 5 additions was outstanding.  The project managers and installation crews for the decking, handrails, gutters and sun tunnels were excellent. All the work was performed on time and crews always kept us up to date on progress.  The recommendations I received by all the crews throughout the job to give us the best job possible were always on the mark and resulted in a beautiful home.  As our home is on a main road we receive compliments all the time from people in town on how amazing the house looks and have had people knock on the door to ask us about the job and who did the work. Like other kinds of masonry and brickwork, a properly installed chimney should have a lifespan that extends beyond multiple generations of homeowners. But there are parts of the chimney that will need to be replaced more frequently. 

  • Clay tile or cast-in-place liners should be replaced every 50 years.

  • Stainless steel liners will last an average of 15–20 years.

  • Mortar will require replacement every 25–30 years.

  • Chimney crowns have an average lifespan of 50–75 years.

Removing a chimney is difficult. You may need to take it out brick by brick from inside the walls. If it’s part of the load bearing structure of the home, removing it becomes even more difficult. Chimney removal cost can range from $1,000 to $10,000, depending on the complexity of the job, and whether or not it’s load bearing. For this reason, many people will choose to remove the fireplace and seal the chimney at the bottom and top. You could remove the visible exterior section of the chimney at the roofline before sealing it, too.
