"Prouty did a great job on the chimney liners and ultimately the chimney cap repair. I rated them a C on responsiveness and professionalism specifically for an issue related to finishing the chimney cap in April when the weather conditions allowed for the repair. We financed the project over a six month period. I had requested that they provide pictures of the finished work including the chimney cap. Other companies we have used in the past provide before and after pictures. However, we were told that because they had already completed the chimney cap repair, they would not return to take pictures. It wasn't until we withheld the final payment that they agreed to return and provide pictures; only to find out that the work had not been completed. They were apologetic about the error in the paperwork, but I can't help thinking if we had not withheld the final payment, we would have been unaware that the repair had not been completed. I believe I would hire them again, but would have to make sure to verify the completed work."

"We contacted Amazing Flame on the basis of their positive reviews to repair our nonfunctional gas fireplace, and are very disappointed with their service. They were unable to diagnose the issue as outlined in their agreement (seeming more concerned when they were here with finishing quickly and moving on to the next appointment than diagnosing the issue). More concerningly, the technician left the gas on the incorrect setting despite verbally confirming it to be off, so we are pursuing a different repair company."

"We recently had a woodstove installed by Blue Ridge Chimney Services. I can not say enough about Matt and Victor. They are both very professional, extremely knowledgeable, pay great attention to details and very personable. The first day they came out to my home they answered all my questions regarding which stove would work best in our home. I called them a couple times with additional questions and my calls were returned promptly. They all deserve higher than 5 stars in my opinion. Rhonda in their office is fantastic as well. "Avoid at all cost. Don't even get HomeServe home warranty cuz that's what they use. They came and fixed the leak by replacing the toilet ring/rubber. During the process, they caused a leak between the toilet tank and toilet bowl and refused to take responsibility saying they didn't touch the toilet tank. They actually did. I watched them when they used a water suction vaccuum to get dry out the tank. Also they had to unscrew the bolts connecting the tank and the toilet seat. When putting those bolts back they didn't do it right and the leak is where the bolts connecting them. Yet they said they didn't touch it. Wow. We are currently looking at actions (perhaps a small court claim) that we can take against them. Just found I can file a complaint on Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation which is where all the licenses are granted. Perhaps contact City rep too. Im going to wait and see if this gets resolved first."
