MLM was started with a simple concept: Potential clients, no matter what their individual or family needs, should always be approached with a genuine desire to understand their vision all while delivering a product that brings their dream to life.

"Great MLM did the roof installation. Everything worked out very well on time all aspects of the installation met my expectations. In addition, we had a gutter installation and gutter guards . Modifications were needed all went well on time follow up professional service. I would use MLM for further work and also would recommend them to friends and family"

"I don’t even know where to start with this review. We have just finished with a nightmare of an experience with this company. It all started when Sean came to our house and we discussed with him what we wanted to do with our kitchen. We signed up for painting our cabinets, island and desk in our kitchen, new countertops and new backsplash. The first Red flag started on the very first day they were supposed to start the project, we were told they would come at 9 AM, 10AM comes around and no one is here. My husband text Sean and was given a new time of 12 with no apology. Noon came and went, and no one showed up, and we were told another later time, and that time came and went. We were finally told they would not be coming that day due to traffic. We tried to let that go but this same occurrence happened at least four more times throughout the project. There were 4 separate times my husband would sit at home and miss work waiting for someone to show up and they wouldn’t. One time my husband had enough, and they ended up showing up to the house at 5 PM and were still working past 9PM when we both have to get up early for work. The second red flag was one they brought our doors back from painting them at their warehouse. The paint job was TERRIBLE. There was paint streaks running down 5 of the doors (pictures posted). We had to have them sent back to be repainted, which took an entire month to do. The third incident was we wanted to replace the hardware on our kitchen cabinets and island but not our desk. We asked for them to patch up the hardware on both the kitchen cabinets and island but not the desk. Well Sean did not listen again and patched up all holes including our desk. The fourth incident was they painted our kitchen desk the entire wrong color. I repeated to Sean several times what I wanted, and nothing was ever written down. When we called Sean to discuss with him that they painted the wrong color he immediately blamed it on us saying we never asked for the color we asked for. Then continued to tell us he had no notes of us asking for a gray desk. I repeatedly told him several times what I wanted when he was at our house and felt as if he wasn’t listening. I was more in shock that he proceeded to tell me it was all my fault. I wish I could say that this was the end of the nightmare. Due to the fact they no showed on four different occasions and gave us the runaround our kitchen project lasted over an entire month. Meaning we were unable to use our kitchen for that entire month. During this month they had placed protective paper on our floors. The final day when they were done they took up the protective paper and brought my husband over to tell him there was a tiny imperfection on our brand new wood floors. The stain was completely gone off this spot on the floor and Sean proceeded to tell us it’s our flooring people’s fault and not theirs. We had these floors done a year ago and never had any issues. It gets even worse as after Sean left we found 6 giant spots (not just the one spot he showed us) on our floors where the stain was removed (pictures posted). Sean told us we would have to call our flooring people and pay to have it redone. He refused to admit that it was their fault when our floors were not like this before the project. We finally called and complained enough that they agreed to fix our floors. The final straw is the flooring people came to fix the floors and the stain does not even match our floors at all. We had several contractors come out to look at the damage and told us whatever took the stain off our floors was some chemical and it almost looks like bleach stains. Now we are sitting here with our beautiful floors with patches of non-matched stain. I hope this review helps someone reconsider using this company. I have never had an experience as terrible as this."

Unlike typical interior design companies, we have our own furniture factories located in Los Angeles and Bali. In addition to our in-house woodworking shops, allowing us to take customization to a whole new level. Our full-service capabilities — including CAD and 3-D space planning, color schedules, custom design and fabrication of furniture, contract grade furniture, cabinets and built-ins — mean we can turn any vision into reality.

"Chris Zoltan is the real deal. He is immensely talented and knows what he is doing. I was very nervous throughout the process. The final product by Zoltan Design was striking and distinctive. There were some glitches. For example, the dining chair heights are a bit too low for the dining table. But, overall, I love my living room and dining room space. If you are looking for inexpensive design, this is not the firm for you. Be ready to spend top dollar. If you are looking for quality, vision, and distinctiveness, than you will be satisfied with Zoltan Design."

"We just had the original kitchen in our 1968 house gutted and renewed by Vienna Prime Custom Kitchen & Bath (Prime Custom). BLUF: We highly recommend you consider them in your due diligence efforts to find a reliable & quality K&B contractor. Good internet reviews were a significant factor in selecting potential bidders for the refurbishment of our kitchen and two full bathrooms; that’s why we are submitting this robust positive feedback. In fact we are putting our money where our mouth is by awarding the refurbishment of our two main bathrooms to Prime Custom. These two combined projects are more costly than the kitchen was. Our procurement strategy was to hold back the bathrooms until they proved themselves with the kitchen. They came through in spades. Our kitchen journey from planning, contracting, detailed design, execution and final delivery was by no means a cakewalk but Prime Custom was an outstanding partner and delivered a quality product. We trust them! Believe me, we were a bigger “PitA” than any customer under the sun but Prime Custom Prime was collectively patient, understanding, informative and most importantly tolerant of their sometimes-antsy interior design challenged clueless customer. Their team, including an involved owner, consisted of Filiz the designer (PC Vienna), Nick the PM (PC Arlington), and several company employed skilled tradesmen in all disciplines, including the après project cleaning crew that were “the Best”. Even with a professional and organized contractor team doing quality work, the vagaries of ripping out and replacing a kitchen is a taxing psychological rollercoaster. Despite a detailed Statement of Work (SoW), there were lots of moving parts with so many big and small decisions throughout the project. Prime Custom did a masterful job “herding cats”. The project was 95% complete in three weeks and we were able to reclaim our new beautifulyl retooled kitchen by the middle of the fourth week. We did our homework. We developed three pages of bulletized line items, one for each room in our SoW. After interviewing a dozen K&B contractors including onsite visits and receiving half a dozen bids on our very comprehensive SoW, we culled the list down to three potential providers. Prime Custom matched the low bid for the kitchen with one contractor and the two bathrooms of another. We decided to go with Prime Custom with the hope of their doing all three rooms after they proved their worth on the kitchen. Our strategy has worked so far. We will update our review after Prime Custom completes the two bathrooms. It pays to be anal in working on home improvement project contracting, no matter how painful."

FAQs for cabinet making projects in Manassas, VA

Custom cabinets are worth the investment to transform the look of your kitchen with a design, color scheme, and aesthetic that’s unique to your home. If you’re looking for cabinets that reflect your personality but are more cost-effective, semi-custom cabinets are a great alternative that allows you to showcase your style, but with pre-made cabinets instead of fully custom. Custom cabinets also provide a 70 to 80 percent return on investment, making them a worthwhile purchase.

There are a few key differences between custom and semi-custom cabinets. While custom cabinets offer complete customization, semi-custom cabinets are less personalized, offering fewer paint color, finish, and hardware choices. In addition, custom cabinets typically take longer to install due to the build time, whereas semi-custom cabinets are prefabricated and therefore faster to install.

If you're looking for ways to save money on custom cabinets, there are a few ways to cut costs without sacrificing beauty. For starters, comparing door styles to choose the most cost-effective option is a great way to save money on the overall project.

In addition, choosing a common wood species versus an exotic one will lower the price. Woods like oak and hickory are often more affordable wood choices, and the same goes for knobs, pulls, and other finishes where picking a commonly available style can reduce costs.

Custom cabinets cost between $500 and $1,200 per linear foot on average to install. Factors like materials, size, and type of cabinet doors you choose significantly affect the overall cost.

For example, a basic slab cabinet door can cost $60 to $70 for materials alone. As its name suggests, this material is a piece of wood with no unique features. However, a mullioned glass inset panel door, which features a designed glass panel, ranges from $100 to $200 for materials per cabinet door.

Like most special-order items, custom cabinets have several pros and cons to consider when buying new cabinets. Custom cabinets are typically more expensive than prefabricated cabinet options, but the work often reflects the quality. Custom cabinets tend to last 20 or more years, but the time it takes to install them is typically longer than other cabinets—roughly 6 to 8 weeks on average from the time of ordering. However, a major benefit is the ability to personalize every aspect of your cabinetry, from cabinet hardware to custom paint colors.
