"From initial contact with their sales department we've had a great experience, Corey did an excellent job of taking pictures and showing the problems in our attic. Their level of communication from emails to phone calls was precisely correct by contacting me when needed and not too much with pictures detailing each solution and its associated cost. On the first work day their crew called ahead of time, arrived promptly and came prepared with masks, plastic sheeting, full body outfits and cloth covering for the stairs. In just over 6 hours they had cleaned up the entire attic removing bad sub-floor and other insulation, laid out the foundation for building a large deck space and placed part of the first layer of materials down. They also sealed the attic door along with some of the air vents and ceiling fans. They completed insulating my front porch overhang and cleaned up all of their mess very well. Painters tape was used on corners where they we’re most likely to bump into it for protection and plastic sheeting was setup precisely where needed to keep dust off of our hallway things next to the attic entrance. Overall it was a great first day and they even spotted an issue from a previous vendor who failed to properly connect some of their duct work together (which was the original cause of my daughter’s room temperature being so hard to control the temperature and not easy to spot). The only complaint I have is that while I fully expected the need to finish our attic sub-floor, remaining layers of TruSoftTM Cellulose on the main floor and encapsulate the duct lines with Polyurethane Spray Foam all before finishing with blown-in insulation, they left a key piece incomplete. When leaving they left the duct work leading from our main trunk line to my daughter’s room off. This left a hole in the main trunk line reducing heat in all upstairs rooms but most important is that nothing was connected to my daughter’s room. So around 6:00am she woke up coughing as we noticed the upstairs was around 56 degrees. Overall a simple heads up would have solved everything as we have space heaters, however I did not look into the attic when they left so that’s my fault for not knowing a key piece of the duct line was missing. Based on the overall work complete I would still very much recommend them as Robert (onsite team lead) was very good at communicating and the crew we’re all quite friendly. Their work will last for the lifetime of my house and has already added value to the sale price. In the end they made a really nice attic deck leaving me with plenty of useable storage space. While this is not the cheapest company, the quality and knowledge that I never need to worry about my attic again is certainly worth it."

"Ralph Bertrand from Home Genius Exteriors came out to thoroughly examine our roof. Ralph showed us many photos & a video of our roof, outside & inside. Ralph took the time to answer any questions we had. He explained the various products used & levels of warranty available. We really appreciated the time Ralph spent explaining everything to us, all without pressure to buy. The day of install arrived & the team was on time & ready to work! One thing we liked was that there was someone there from Home Genius Exteriors during the whole time of install. Richard Bowan, the Install Manager, was there to oversee everything & he did an amazing job. They placed large tarps over all our landscaping & got right to work. Rich kept us updated on progress throughout the day & answered any questions we had. In addition to the new roof, we also had new gutters with leaf guards & downspouts installed. When the work was completed, we walked around the house with Rich. Everything was completely cleaned up; there was nothing left behind or out of place. Our home looks amazing. The new roof, gutters & downspouts really look beautiful. We loved our experience with Home Genius Exteriors, especially working with both Ralph & Rich. They were so professional & knowledgeable. "Sales rep, Tommy, was thoroughly entertaining while he explained the "basics" of roofing and the options available through CRC. He was very informative and confidant in their products and even suggested some tips on getting other proposals. I shouldn't have wasted my time with the "others", which were considerably less informative, more "pushy", and not really any less expensive (one of the "big name" competitors was actually a substantial amount higher).

The install process went extremely smoothly; the crew was on-time, very polite, and very efficient. The install supervisor kept me informed every step of the way and fixed some minor problems related to some hidden wood rot and documented everything with pictures (I wonder whether the competitors would have simply covered it up and left it to worsen???)

I expected to find pieces of shingles or nails around my house or in the landscaping but there was not one single scrap and absolutely no evidence of them being there except for the great looking new roof!

During the follow up visit to make sure I was completely happy with their roofing services, Van and Tommy mentioned that CRS also does attic insulation. After another educational description of the process, I accepted their very reasonable proposal and 2 days later the attic was insulated with no problems and absolutely no mess!!!

A few months have gone by and I'm extremely happy with both the new roof and the attic insulation!

The house is noticeably quieter (no more pitter patter of squirrel feet!) and I have already enjoyed a reduction in the heating/cooling costs since the HVAC system doesn't need to run as hard to keep the inside temp constant.

"Roberto was the technician and he was very professional, polite, and personable. He inspected the rest of our system and told us things that needed to be changed or repaired. He showed me pictures of everything. Everything he told me about was accurate. He quoted me a price for R38 insulation , Some of our ducts were plastic and he recommended them to be changed. I agreed completely and didn't know they were plastic. I would have had them done the work but I had no price comparisons to make and besides I didn't have the money right then. So he just finished the vent cleaning and left his card. He did a great job on the vent cleaning and was happy with the work."
