Best solar panel pros near Gloucester Point, VA

"Jason was amazing to work with on this project. He is very easy to communicate with and he is honest about pricing for what the whole project costs. Came over and told me I’d have to replace the old system and told me exactly what was wrong. Came back the next and replaced everything in a very quick time! I’m so thankful for his service!"

"I had solar panels installed by SunPower's subcontractor Hooked on Solar in 2020. In 2023 some of the panels were damaged by an electrical outage and surge. It took about 4 months for Hooked on Solar to identify the damaged panels, schedule an appointment to replacement, but finally they fixed the panels."

"When I moved into a new house in Maryland I was set on getting a solar system installed. After reviewing several proposals from competing companies I signed on with Nova Solar. From the proposal to the installation to the start-up of the system Nova Solar's attention to detail was none I have ever experienced working with subcontractors on my house. Their attention to detail was extraordinary. All of my inquiries and questions on the system were answered thoroughly and in a timely manner. There were several tax credits, renewable energy credits and grants that were available for my solar system and in my jurisdiction. Nova Solar made sure that each of the applications were completed and received for their system. When completed Nova Solar sent links to each of my electronic devices so I could have access to the system on line to track the daily energy production and to see any trouble with the system (which there have been none to date) at any time during the day. I have been in the subcontracting business for over 30 years and know a good subcontractor when I see one. I have had an excellent experience with Nova Solar and would highly recommend their services to anyone who is interested in solar energy."

"Installation by local company, Mendocino Solar, was great. Continuing Service when needed has been great as well."

"Gary was very profesional and offered us great service and pricing!!"

"The Solar panels was installed on a ground mount.
It was a design that I could use the space underneath for storage.  I did not want a metal system so Renewable
Engineered Systems; built a solar racking system from high end wood, designed
for boats. It was creatively built and they cleaned up all around.

Job site was left clean. System works great.

"It went well.  An electrician and helper arrived when scheduled and completed the work in several hours.   They also installed some outlet protectors for the computer cabling.   They were efficient and polite.
The same electrician came out the previous week.  I had a build in microwave 'blow" several times, and the last GE repairman suggested that power fluctuations could be part of the issue.   I cannot be certain if the issue is that or just heavily loaded circuits, but the electrician said this would be at least a way to control spikes so none would go to any outlets in the house.  It seems like a good idea anyway as I have many TVs and computers that would be protected with this as well.  Even if this does not fix the microwave issue, the cost was not too much to protect everything else from spikes.
The only comment I have is that I never received a receipt for either of the two visits.  I was to get them via e-mail, and none came.  I sent a message to the e-mail address on Asbury's web page so hopefully it will be addressed.  While the cost of the unit and labor was not too high, a written proposal would have been appreciated.

"From the first meeting with Matt when he gave us a timeline and our estimate, through the install and the walk through of finished work, it was all very well done. The installers were very polite and made sure that any flooring that they would be walking on or bringing out the old water heater on were completely covered to protect from any dirt or water. Any time we went to see if they needed anything they would tell us what they had gotten done and what they were working on. Not once were they short or put out as some people are when you are curious about what is going on in your house. I would use Lighthouse any time and have already told our friends how professional and caring they were about everything that went into our home and the proper working of it all before they left. They also did not take the last half of our payment until the final walk through which was 5 days after all work was completed. They also do military discounts and cash/check discounts which is a lovely perk."
