"I contacted Metropolitan Chimney Masonry Services, based on their high ratings on Angie's List.  I wanted to schedule an appointment for an estimate to repair a chimney that was cracked during the recent earthquake.  Although the fireplace itself had not been used in more than 10 years, the Chimney needed to be repaired as soon as possible.  I spoke with Oscar, and a few days later he and one of his workers came to do an inspection.  He was a very nice gentleman.  He spent time explaining what he had found, and what type of repairs needed to be done, and then gave me a written estimate.  I received estimates from four other highly rated companies on Angie's List, but I went with this company because I felt he really wanted to do a good job, especially since this was his own company, and he had the shortest wait time.  He also came across as very trustworthy, very knowledgeable, and he had the most competitive price.

Oscar and his crew came one day earlier than expected, but that was okay with me.  They arrived on time, and worked quickly, but efficiently.  They did an excellent job of matching the new bricks to the ones already on the Chimney.  The results look great.  I was so very impressed with the respect they showed to my home.  Although they had to make many trips in and out of the house, they removed their shoes each time so as not to track dirt on my floor. The job took two days.  When they were done they cleaned up around the fireplace inside, and the yard outside.  I am very pleased.  I would definitely hire them again."
