"Greg and his assistant were very professional, explained all options for repairing our plumbing. They replaced our pipes in the kitchen and washer drain in our garage. They installed new kitchen and bathroom faucets. I will always hire him to fix any plumbing problems or installations that I need done. He cleaned all areas and removed and disposed the damaged pipes etc. I highly recommend him and his company."

"Mr. Brown was extremely kind and professional. He informed us what needed to be accomplished and the steps he will have to take to get the job done. He came in and went straight to work and did not stop until completion. He cleaned up and left us pleased as to how the services were performed. I will HIGHLY recommend him. We will be utilizing his services again!"

"Everyone was so very kind, polite, clean and worked until the job was done. The guys were great and I cannot say enough good things about them!! Our air condition has never worked so well and is so much more efficient. I must add that they came out after another company (GS) who claimed to do work and did NOT. Russells came out for a second opinion, pointed out that the other company did not do what they said they did, and actually showed us. That is worth its weight in gold."

Sewer Cleaning questions, answered by experts

This depends on the location of the blockage. If the blockage is in your home’s system, anywhere in the system, it is your responsibility as a homeowner. Blockages seldom happen because of items or buildup coming from the city, which means it originates in the home. It becomes the city’s responsibility at the exact point your home’s line distributes waste into the city’s system. The exception is if the problem in your home damages the city lines.

If methods like hot water or a plunger don’t work on your clogged drain, you can snake your drain to dislodge the plug. This can be a messy process, taking some physical effort and additional time over the other drain-clearing options. You can purchase a drain snake at a hardware store and choose from handheld options or those attached to a drill. Just work slowly, and be ready to call a plumber if you’re unable to reach the clog from your drain or P-trap.

The best practice is to clean the sewer drain lines in your home once a year or every two years. Older homes could require more frequent maintenance. Keeping up on cleaning your sewer lines can prevent severe clogs, help ensure your system is working properly, and prevent expensive repairs.

Some flushable wipes companies say they are designed to disintegrate within a few hours to a few days after being flushed. These wipes allegedly use materials that are more water-soluble than traditional wipes. However, many experts have raised concerns that even so-called "flushable" wipes do not break down as easily as claimed and can contribute to clogs and blockages in sewer systems.

To prevent plumbing and sewer problems, avoid flushing wipes, even those labeled as flushable. Instead, dispose of them in the trash. This can help prevent costly plumbing issues and reduce the strain on wastewater treatment systems.

Professionals use augers, hydrojetting equipment, and cameras for precise clearing and inspection.
