"They come out when they say they will. They are always on time. There is usually one technician doing the work.  We don’t have any critters in the house so treatment seems to be working.  For what they do, I think the price is a little expensive."

"Terminix was quick to respond and to get out here for a termite inspection, which is what we needed. However, they signed us up for pest control and said their agent would be out to care for us right away. So far haven’t seen him yet. Will give 5 stars if that turns out well."

"Terminex e-mailed me within an hour of my request to let me know they'd be in touch. About 40 hrs. Later they called to set up an appt. To come out for the service I needed. Everyone, from the appt. Maker to the service tech. Was courteous, professional, and let me know they were there to resolve my issues. I had an initial treatment, a follow-up, & a free termite inspection performed, & the cost was average for my area for the services performed. I found out my home had issues we didn't even know about, and they were handled by Terminex immediately. I would highly recommend Terminex to each & every person who needs Pest Control services."

"Kenny was very responsive when I put in the search on Angie's List. He was clear on the cost of squirrel removal/setting traps. He answered all my questions clearly. He was already working near my home so he came by the same day to check on any entry points. He was able to look outside first knowing I was concerned about people entering the home because of the pandemic. He was HONEST and told me he could not find any entry points on my roof into my home. WOW! It is such an amazing thing to find someone you can trust and won't just charge you to set traps that are not needed. I would recommend this company to use for any future animal removal."

"The owner, George Davidson, supervised the work and personally interacted with me and my daughter whose house needed the roof. He also made recommendations that improved the look and quality of the roof. The workers were very prompt and cleaned up everything. Having dealt with many companies in my lifetime with varying satisfaction I have to say this was among the best if not the best I have experienced."

Pest Control questions, answered by experts

Scientists have found that the chemical traces a dying wasp releases can agitate nearby wasps and make them more aggressive. It may not necessarily attract wasps, but it will make wasps in the area more likely to investigate and feel threatened, which leads to more stings. As a result, it’s not a good idea to swat or crush a wasp anywhere near their nest. Once you have found a nest, hire a wasp exterminator.

Yes, many professionals offer eco-friendly pest control solutions. These services often use non-toxic and environmentally safe products and integrate green practices to ensure effective pest management with minimal environmental impact.

Scented mouse deterrents, like peppermint oil, can be effective in the short term. The pungent smells may temporarily repel mice, but they lose effectiveness as the scent fades or mice get used to it. The main drawbacks are frequent reapplication and the fact that these deterrents don't address the root cause of the infestation, such as entry points or food sources. While they can be part of a broader strategy, scented deterrents alone are rarely enough to eliminate a mouse problem.

There is no exact science here, due to the nature of nests and how mice raise their young, but a good place to start is to inspect the droppings. A single mouse poops a lot, leaving around 50 droppings in a single day, likely near a primary food source. If you find only sporadic droppings, you likely have a small infestation. If you spot large mounds of droppings, you are dealing with a big problem.

Squirrels hate anything that disturbs the peace in their nest. Loud noises, bright lights, and strong smells like cayenne pepper or mothballs will deter them from your attic. Spread these scents, add a strobe light, or use an ultrasonic repeller to keep squirrels from nesting in your attic.
