Despite repeated calls and texts, I have yet to receive a response from them. Part of our quote included hauling away some landscape rock that he wanted for his personal use. He never came to get it. I have called or texted several times and have gotten no response. The removal of the rocks was one of the main reasons we went with them.

I hired Richard because there was a depression in my driveway that was getting bigger. He recommended replacing the whole driveway, and I agreed. The driveway looked great but the depression was still there. Richard came back and created a trough in the driveway for the water to channel off. This solved the problem, but it's a little unsightly. He was responsive to work with and I am pleased overall with my new driveway.

We are disappointed with the asphalt paving job we got. The edges are not well defined. Surface is rough in some areas looking like patch work. Also there are holes about the size of a nickel in several areas. I contacted him to discuss these things; I offered to send pictures. He told me I did not need to send any pictures because he knew exactly why those things were like that. The rougher areas come from hand manipulation of the asphalt along the sides and edges. The holes come from a stick that is used to measure the thickness of the asphalt. He said if I wanted him to, he could send his crew over and they could try to reheat the edges to smooth them but this could result in damaging the asphalt and make it worse. He told me the driveway is beautiful and all I need to do is get some topsoil and put along the edges and go ahead and put an asphalt sealer on in about a month; that will make it look better.

They need to clean up better.Take prid in other people things like water holes and other things

Our asphalt driveway is 25 years old. I initially called Richard over two years ago to discuss what could be done to fix the buckling damage caused by tree roots. Richard said he could overlay the existing asphalt, but the problems would reappear in a few years as the trees beside the driveway continued to grow. We decided not to pursue the overlay at that time and instead took down the oak and hickory trees that were causing the problems. I appreciated Richard's honesty and his suggestions for how the driveway might be reshaped absent the trees. I called Richard back about a month ago to discuss the driveway again. He responded right away. I expected him to recommend tearing up all of the asphalt and repaving the whole thing. But he explained why that was not necessary and in fact not the best idea. He was very patient as we tried to understand the scope of the project. Richard made two suggestion regarding reshaping the driveway. We took one suggestion but not the other. In hindsight, we should have taken both suggestions. The shape of the driveway would be even better! As promised Richard was onsite for the entire project. His crew consisted of four other guys who, like Richard, are polite and professional and accomplished at their jobs. The group worked very well together. We did have some clean up work after the job. There was asphalt on the public road, and we had to scrape it up and dispose of it. There was also a small amount of trash left behind by the crew, but I think they were working so hard they didn't have time to do anything with their drink bottles. I called two other contractors before I called Richard back for this job. One did not return my call. The other contractor just asked what I thought needed to be done as opposed to making a recommendation. He showed no creativity in terms of reshaping the driveway to improve its appearance and design. I definitely think Richard's Paving was right for our job!

Richard responded to my call within an hour or so and, surprisingly, asked if he could review the proposed job that very day. We settled on the cost and a couple of weeks later Richard s crew arrived. The workmen (who included the owner s father and brother) were very polite and professional. The job was finished in two days. My driveway looks wonderful. I would recommend Richard s Paving to anyone who has need of excellent paving work.

Called me right away. Whenever we made contact over the phone, everyone was very polite. The areas of the driveway that were accessible to a roller look great, however, I was expecting them to have a hand-tamper or something to flatten the asphalt by the back deck posts, etc, where the roller couldn't get too. I also requested them return and fix an edge that they didn't pave all the way to 4x4 beams, which they politely agreed to do, but never showed. Even despite multiple attempts of contact. 3 star experience for sure, but not 5.

Richard was great to work with, fair and honest pricing, quick and good quality work for paving our driveway. Would definitely recommend.

It was a big job (5 truckloads). There was no skimping on material or service. I got my money's worth. The crew intuitively corrected run off issues I had as they applied the new surface. Robert recommend applying an oil based coating to protect the new surface. Robert and his dad worked the job side by side with their fine crew.

The job was just completed and it looks good. Time will be a better judge of the quality
