"I didn't have a great experience with HAL Co. They take FOREVER to return calls/emails. The day they were scheduled to come replace my fence they no-showed and I had to call the office around 4 pm to find out they weren't coming because a job was running late. The rescheduled installation was a day I was in the office. The crew said the outlet in my back yard wasn't working, so they left without calling me or ringing the doorbell to ask about it (the circuit just needed to be reset, which my partner at home could have done). I didn't find out until several hours later when the office called to tell me the crew had left. The fence finally got installed, and a few days later a neighbor found nails in two of his tires. The crew claimed they performed a metal sweep of the area, but now the neighbor is trying to get me to replace his tires. Finally, the gate latch got damaged somehow, possibly in a storm that happened a few days after the fence install, and HAL wanted $130 to replace the latch. I bought a latch kit off Amazon for $30 and did it myself."

So far, they've painted the exterior of our house - a great job, on time, exactly what we requested, with attention to detail, and a walk-through at the end to be sure we were satisfied. "It was average quality work at an above average price. The quote included oil paint for a built in bookshelf, standard latex was used. The quote included a priming of the kitchen as well as two coats of paint. The walls were not primed even though I asked the lead painter if they were. I know they were not as the old color still bleeds through on three of the walls. I spent a full day chipping paint off the the kitchen tile, cabinets, and door frames, bathroom wood vanity, as well as the wood floors in the other rooms. I am in the process of hiring another company to repaint the disaster of a kitchen with which I was left."
