I recently finished a home renovation with Richland Construction. Most highly recommended! From the project design phase to the final install, the team went above and beyond in explaining the process, supporting us through the stages of construction, and delivering superior results. Many thanks to Carina, Enrique and the entire team for the professionalism and skilled approach to our home renovation. We couldn’t be happier with the final result!!! Richland Construction did a wonderful job with our extensive kitchen remodel project from April - June 2021. They provided us with a timeline for the phases of the project, and clearly communicated progress along the way. They were very responsive when any unexpected detail came up, and always worked with us to find a great solution that maintained the design as well as functionality of our space while keeping cost in mind. The work involved removal of an interior wall and widening of another; relocating an exterior door to the other side of the house; creatively finding solutions for duct work; installation of appliances, cabinetry, tile, shelves, lights, and countertops; construction of a custom island with cabinets and countertops to match the rest of the kitchen; painting; and plenty of final details. I would definitely recommend them for your next project!

Enrique was a pleasure to work with. He took time throughout the process to ensure I was happy every step of the way. He went above and beyond the expectations in our contract and resolved a few small issues with our electrical. He custom-built our fireplace surround, mantel, and bookcases so it works perfectly in the space and matches the rest of the house. He ended up doing some extra work for us and coming back for a few additional days. His price was very reasonable and I could not be happier with the quality of his work. I will be working with him again in the future. He also was great to have in our home everyday - our kids loved him!

I am thrilled with the outcome of my renovation. Richland was responsive, on budget, fair in their pricing and had a high standard for quality. They completed the entire project in four months - on time. The general contractor, Enrique Menes, was patient with all my questions and worked with me as a partner. I was very pleased with the outcome of this basement renovation. Both DCRA and PEPCO were difficult to deal with but Richland helped me wade through the bureaucracy. They were very responsive and stayed on budget. I now have a fully legal basement and am receiving top dollar for rental income. I would highly recommend Richland and would hire them again.

Enrique, Vlad, and all of the Richland team provided excellent service. They were responsive and extremely thorough in their work. Everything was completed beautifully and they worked quickly to ensure that I wasn't displaced from my bathroom for too long. I used to dread looking at the peeling paint and worrying about moisture and now I love walking into my bathroom.

Great! We had a dripping ceiling with water damage in our bathroom. Enrique and his team demo'd the ceiling and diagnosed the problem: improperly installed and insulated ductwork. Since we didn't want to redo all the ductwork in the house, he re-insulated the ducts, installed a more powerful fan (which entailed getting on our very high roof), and then replaced the drywall and repainted everything. He was very communicative with us and worked with our schedule, and offered a fair price for a job well done. We would hire him again in a heartbeat.

They came out to my house and did a ton of work to get my house ready for a quick sale. They updated two bathrooms, refinished all the interior walls, painted the entire house, replaced a fence, and pressure washed my large deck. The price was right. The work was excellent. Thanks to them I sold my house for a lot more money.

It went awesome. We could never get anyone to fix our frozen pipe situation for years. Richland Construction not only fixed it but permanent resolved the issues. Thank you Tuchland!

In a word, fantastic. Enrique Mena is the general contractor who owns the business, and his daughter Carina is the project manager. Both of them are beyond fabulous -- extremely responsive, extremely reasonably priced (I had previously received quotes that were double and quadruple what they charged), and extremely professional. They showed up and called when they said they would. They handled everything so that it went as easily as possible for me. I gutted a small studio kitchen, and they treated me as if I were redoing a million-dollar property. The work involved gutting the existing kitchen, plumbing, tiling the floor, repairing the wall, electrical work and installing custom cabinetry and stainless steel shelves. There were several different workmen, and they all did a great job. Everyone who sees the kitchen says it looks great. I renovated my bathroom earlier in the year with a different contractor and wish I had known of Richland so they could have done it instead. I would hire them again in a heartbeat. (Also, their references were all stellar and would hire them again.)
