"Glass Impressions did a wonderful job of cleaning all 19 windows in our home, inside & out, including the inside sills, screens and also 2 glass storm doors. Mr. Waters and his team are very good at what they do. They were very reasonable. I plan to use them again, as needed."

"This was a very involved plaster repair and remediation job, in a very old house. Grady is the only person (or company) who was willing to take on the job and drive all the way from Pennsylvania to our home in Northern Virginia. There are very few people who do this kind of work anymore (we really searched) and he is an expert in his field. We needed to work around his schedule, because he is in demand in the tri-state area, so it took awhile to schedule the work to begin... but it was worth it."

"Glass Doctor was recommended by our remodel contractor.  They came and did on site measurements. The rep recommended a door and allowed us to specify the height we wanted.  Door took about three weeks to come in.  They installed it and did a very professional job.
The office staff, particularly Amber, communicate very well. They are always available to answer questions.
The quality of the product and the installation is outstanding. We couldn't have asked for nicer.  It wasn't the cheapest way to go.  But we opted for spending the money as it was a remodel of the bathroom and we wanted it to be top quality.  They may have more budget priced options, we just liked what they recommended.
We would certainly use them again.

Glass Block questions, answered by experts

New glass costs anywhere from $3 to $100 per square foot. More specifically, tempered and insulated glass—a common option for sliding glass doors—costs between $10 and $14 per square foot.

Regular cleaning with non-abrasive cleaners helps prevent buildup and maintains clarity.

Glass block windows typically last for 15 to 30 years, which is slightly less than the 20- to 50-year lifespan of standard windows. You can extend their life by resealing them every few years. Professional installation is also key to ensuring the windows are placed correctly and will function properly for years to come. A professional installer will have the necessary skills, tools, and knowledge to install these features and can identify potential issues like damaged frames or cramped areas during a consultation.

You can still see vaguely into some types of glass block windows at night. Although there won’t be clear definitions, passersby may still see shapes, shadows, and movement through the glass. If you want complete privacy, consider installing diamond glass block windows rather than the typical clear or wavy glass blocks.

Options include tempered, laminated, and tinted glass for various needs.
