End of the day, my former heating/cooling service appears to have been doing a very shoddy job these past 6 years, including the original set up of the new heat pump system (poor insulation, exposed wires) and the duct work.  I have great confidence in what John and Steve showed me.
I will be changing my yearly maintenance contract over to ACHAC once this year's contract with the other service expires. I'm sold on the quality of this service!
