"He replaced my gutter fasteners so i could have my roof replaced. He did a great job He also gave me a very attractive roof replacement estimate but i had already signed on w another roofer. According to his briefing, he knows what he is doing and his prices are quite competitive!"

"The work was done in an outstanding manner--everything was cleaned thoroughly and everything put back in place when the work was complete. The roof and gutters were also done and minor repairs done to the gutters and covers to ensure they were in good shape. I have used this company before and will always give them any business I have that they can do. Their prices are fair and their work is first class."

"I needed my gutters replaced after the one on one side of my house fell off due to wind. Peak Roofing worked with me and my crazy schedule, waiting a couple of weeks after I signeed the contract for me to schedule a day for the work to be done. I wasn't home when the work was done, but I didn't even notice they had been there (except for the new gutters, of course). Customer service over the phone was spectacular. Everyone I spoke with was very polite and professional. They were very understanding and patient when it came to making payment,as I wasn't able to get the payment to them until about a week after the work was finished. Thanks!"

Gutter Repair and Replacement questions, answered by experts

DIY is possible for minor leaks or realignments. Professional services handle complex issues like sagging or joint repairs.

On average, gutters need to be replaced every 20 years. Unprotected gutters in more extreme weather conditions are more prone to breaking and may need to be replaced sooner. Meanwhile, proper maintenance can extend your gutter’s life span even further. That said, proper installation, gutter hangers to provide additional support, and gutter guards or helmets all play an important role in how long your gutters last.

Yes, it’s possible to replace only one section of a gutter, and it’s a common repair. Often, a tree limb will damage a gutter on one side of the house, or constant weather will cause early corrosion. Gutters are often joined together with couplings that are easy to remove and swap out. For this reason, some homeowners will purchase extra gutters when they install them to have spare sections to use for replacement later.

Minor repairs like sealing small leaks or cleaning debris are DIY-friendly, but professional repairs ensure long-term stability and proper drainage.

Gutters should not drip at the seams. This problem could indicate that water is collecting in the gutters instead of moving to the downspouts. You could have leaves or other debris blocking the flow of water at the seams. Try cleaning the gutters, adjusting the slope, and sealing any holes or cracks in the material to fix this problem.
