"I had ed come out to my house to repair a carpet that had been damaged by my dogs. He had contacted me just moments after speaking with a home advisor rep...and quoted me a price right then. When he came out he did a walk thru of my home and not only did he repair what I Iinitially needed but he he also finished up another carpet seem I had unfinished and cut in another small peice of carpet in for NO ADDITIONAL charge . He told me he wanted me to get my money worth. I would defenatley recommend his services. Great customer service and he went above and beyond to ensure I was satisfied."

Carpet Installation questions, answered by experts

Yes. When installed properly, the strong adhesive on carpet tiles keeps them in place while also allowing homeowners the flexibility to peel up an individual tile and replace it if they need to. It’s important to keep in mind that the adhesive on your carpet tiles may take some time to cure, so it’s best to leave them alone for a couple of days after you first install them.

Yes, installing laminate over carpet could negatively affect the resale value of your home. It’s no surprise that homebuyers prefer flooring that someone has installed according to industry standards. Laminate over carpet may raise concerns about the quality and stability of the flooring, impacting the overall perceived value of the property.

Carpeting has a few benefits on stairs in addition to being a cost-effective floor covering. It absorbs sound, dampening footsteps. It also provides additional traction, which is especially important if you install linoleum floors, epoxy flooring, or any other floor covering that can become slippery if you’re wearing socks. Therefore, carpets can help prevent slips.

Carpet padding costs an average of $510 to purchase and install in a 225-square-foot room. The price can range from as low as $170 to as much as $850, depending on the brand, the thickness, and the labor cost. Although carpet padding will increase the overall cost of carpet installation, it also helps the carpet hold up longer, reduces noise in the room, and provides more insulation.

Yes, carpets should be replaced after a house fire or significant smoke damage, even if they appear undamaged. Smoke, soot, particulates, and chemicals can penetrate deep into the carpet fibers and padding, making complete removal a complicated and time-consuming process. If water was used to extinguish the fire, it can also soak through the carpet and padding, creating a risk of mold and mildew growth. Due to these challenges and potential health risks, replacing the carpet is the safest and most effective solution.
