"At the last minute we asked if our carpets could be cleaned after the normal house cleaning was finished. Angela was able to provide the carpet cleaning at last minute notice and we were shocked at the results! We have two dogs, one of which is a senior and he is having some issues with making outside in time to use the bathroom. We had used two household name carpet cleaning services before along with renting a steamcleaner from a local grocery store. Angelas carpet cleaning was far superior then any other carpet cleaning service we have ever used! The price too was 1/2 of what the other businesses charge.
We will only use Angela's carpet cleaning service from now on!

Carpet Installation questions, answered by experts

In order to avoid long-lasting waves, indents, or sticking, it’s a good idea to wait at least 24 hours after fresh carpet is laid to put weighty furniture on top of it. However, you can begin walking on your new carpet right after it’s installed, and doing so can actually help it adhere to the floor better.

Yes, laying laminate over carpet may void the warranty of your flooring. Most laminate manufacturers specify installation over a suitable subfloor, not carpet. Deviating from these installation guidelines can invalidate the warranty. You should stick to the manufacturer's instructions to ensure warranty coverage, and you should always consult with professional laminate flooring installers near you if you have any concerns or questions regarding installation methods.

Yes, you can negotiate the purchase price of new carpet. You may also be able to negotiate installation costs or other fees in addition to the per-foot pricing of the carpet itself. You may have better luck negotiating with an independent retailer (as opposed to a big-box store), as they may have more discretion in pricing, but it’s always worth asking.

Yes, carpeted stairs are generally considered safer than stairs with hard surfaces like wood, vinyl, or tile. Carpet provides more traction and friction, which helps reduce the chances of slips and falls. Additionally, if a fall does occur, carpet offers more cushioning, which can lessen the severity of an injury. While hard surfaces can look great, they are often more slippery. However, it's worth noting that some carpets, especially if they are new, dirty, or have a slick texture, can also pose a slipping hazard. To improve safety on any type of stair surface, you can add traction treads to increase grip.

A 65-oz. carpet is good, and in many cases, it indicates a premium carpet. Most carpets for homes should fall in the range of 40 to 60 ounces for face weight. If a carpet has a 65-oz. face weight, it is likely more durable and long-lasting than a similar carpet with a lower face weight. Carpet face weight is just one factor in determining a carpet’s quality.
