"Saber came to give us a quote, then returned to stretch our carpet. He did an outstanding job -- was on time, did the work quickly, moved and replaced furniture, then cleaned up everything. All was done at a reasonable price. We were very pleased and will hire him again to clean the carpets."

"They showed up on time for both appointments and completed the work as asked. They were careful about making sure the work area didn't get paint on it and cleaned up afterward I had some minor drywall and touch up paint done, some furniture and large carpets moved and two large mirrors hung I will use this company in the future"

Carpet Stretching questions, answered by experts

Yes, by patching or section replacement to blend seamlessly.

The answer depends on the size of the problem. If the carpet damage is small, then you or a pro can fix it with a carpet patch. This commonly includes things like burn marks from fireplaces or small holes from furniture snagging on it.

Other times, replacing the carpet rather than repairing it is best. For example, if you have large, worn sections, water damage, or can’t get rid of a strong odor, it may be time for a replacement. Carpet removal costs average $180 plus the cost of new carpet installation.

Bumps, wrinkles, or detachment often require stretching for smoothness.

Yes, carpeted stairs are generally considered safer than stairs with hard surfaces like wood, vinyl, or tile. Carpet provides more traction, which helps reduce the chances of slips and falls, and its cushioning can lessen the severity of an injury if a fall does occur. Hard surfaces often lack the friction needed for a secure tread and can be quite slippery.

However, it's worth noting that some carpets can also be slick, particularly if they are brand new, dirty, or made from certain materials. If any stair surface feels too slippery, traction treads can be added to most materials to increase grip and improve safety.

Generally speaking, restretch your carpets once every five years, though this timeframe depends on a number of factors, such as the level of foot traffic in the area. If the carpet looks wrinkled and there are loosened areas on the floor, go for the restretch. If everything looks and feels fine, you are good.
