Nuisance Animal Control and Removal

"My family has a second home (for retirement) on 50 wooded acres in Virginia, where wildlife control is a very important issue. Since this house is unoccupied (by humans) for about 6 months out of the year, confidence that our home is free of undesirable wildlife is a priority for us. We selected Billy’s Wildlife Control LLC to install Xclusion Rodent Barrier around the perimeter of our home to completely block rodents and snakes from entering the crawl space beneath our house, where we have to go to maintain the houses water filtration system. They also recommended the installation of a new all-metal dryer vent with a magnetic door to prevent the possible entry of any wildlife through the dryer vent. They came out within the week, on a very cold day, and installed 250 feet of exclusion barrier. Our house is anything but perfect, but even so, the managed to install a nearly perfect pest barrier for us. The team is professional, well managed, efficient, and did an outstanding job."

"Came in, barely looked around house or attic. Refused to crawl into attic to look for nesting. Stood at ceiling entrance and tossed in poison. No strategy to deal with them and no inspection of the area at all. Way overprice for service provided. Would not recommend them at all."

Probably not. Many imitation nests are meant to be hung from trees or other tall places, but not all yellow jackets nest up high—most species, such as the common yellow jacket and the southern yellow jacket, build nests in the ground.

The amount of bees that can live in a hive depends on the type of bee, but honey bees can have up to 80,000 bees living in a hive. People who are allergic to bees can have life-threatening reactions from a single sting. Honey bees are most likely to swarm during spring and early summer, typically from April through June, as colonies expand and prepare for new growth. Swarming occurs when a hive becomes overcrowded, prompting the queen and a group of worker bees to leave in search of a new nesting site. During this time, you may notice a temporary increase in bee activity around your property.
