I can't endorse Andy and Cathy enough! They know their stuff, do what they say, and charge a reasonable price. I had them "encapsulate" (with wire), the entire perimeter of my antique house -- which had become a wildlife "pathway" in an urban setting. Looked great (completely unobtrusive). A-plus folks--so nice to work with.

Andy was very responsive and came out right away. He was very professional and knowledgeable. I purchased a 4-visit plan and he set 4 traps. He came back as planned to empty and reset the traps and several critters were captured. On the 4th visit, he emptied the traps and then took the traps back. I could have added more visits at $60.00 each. I am glad I hired The Critter guy, but am not sure I would do so again. There is no way to tell when all the critters are gone, unless you continue to pay for visits until there are no more captures. Even then, how many $60.00 "no capture" visits do you buy to make sure they are all gone? Andy did a great job and he did catch several chipmunks and voles. Hopefully, they are gone but, if they return, I think I might do some research and try to handle it myself.

He came out and was very informative on short notice. He was not able to capture the small bird, but provided a lot of information to help me deal with the bird. Successive visits are $60 and he made himself available if something did need to be done to remove the animal. Overall good experience!

I write this review for the benefit of consumers in that the company has all the business by word of mouth that they can handle.  This is a self-described mom and pop operation.  "Pop" came out promptly despite how busy he was and proved to be a genuine expert.  He placed a substance at the point where mother raccoon had gained entrance to the attic.  For reasons too complicated for a short description, this alarmed mother raccoon and caused her to move her babies elsewhere that same night.  Andy advised that it does not always work, so to improve the odds he also "kidnapped" one of the babies so as to further alarm the mom and help insure she would move her remaining offspring.

The pup meanwhile was delivered to a licensed wild-life rescue volunteer (the d*** little thing was cute!).  No contribution was solicited but I thought $20 was in order anyway.  Two more trips to our house were required in order to confirm that the raccoons were gone and to secure the attic from re-infestation at the same point of entry.

I could not be more pleased - this is certainly the person to call for wild-life problems!

eesh.  found a dead animal on my property, in the recess outside crawlspace, outside of my home.  found critter guy here on angie's list.  critter guy came out, assessed situation (really gross) and removed animal (turned out to be a cat?sad face).  he treated the whole area with lime and disinfectant (including side of house).
critter guy also examined my attic and found some evidence of squirrel activity (minimal droppings, no nests, etc.).  found a loose brick on the outside and patched the hole.
great guy.  very sympathetic to my plight, and seems very knowledgeable about his craft and an advocate for the animals and environment.  hands down, a good deal.  $100 for dead animal removal, $50 for attic inspection and patch job.  worth every cent.

Set trap and captured a skunk. He also sealed up the holes that the skunk had created to get into the crawl space. Pretty happy with work but have not been back to see the holes sealed yet.

He will answer the phone in the middle of the night!  However, I had trapped the bat in the bedroom, so Andy was able to wait to remove it the next day, so it could be checked for rabies.  When he sealed off the interior, I still had a few bats from the small colony find their way down through the basement, but I was able to trap or release them myself.  After that, no more were seen.  He did a very neat and trim job of sealing off the exterior of the house where the bats were exiting and re-entering.  I am very pleased with his work, and have seen nary a bat since.  Andy also has a really interesting and informative blog on his website, discussing a great variety of wild critters who occasionally show up in or near human habitation.  I highly recommend The Critter Guy!

He seemed very professional. He knew what he was doing. He caught it for us on the second day, and we were very pleased.  He has a place to take the animals that he traps and lets them go, except for skunks, he has to put them down because they carry rabies. He charges 100 dollars to leave the traps on the property for 30 days. He had to drive 50 miles to get here. He was right on time, when he said he was going to be here.
