He transplanted the young trees that I wanted to keep and helped me pick out plants for the rest of the project. I had not imagined including lighting, but Elijah suggested it, and the lighting is beautiful. I also had a walkway installed that matches the paver patio style. "Mr. Minor (Melvin) came to our home and did an excellent job removing all of the grass from the area between our stone patio pavers, and then he proceeded to fill in those cracks with a sealant to prevent any further growth of grass & weeds in the patio area. "Michael came by the house and gave me a recommendation and estimate on what it would take to guarantee that my basement wouldn't flood.  He was very knowledgeable and professional with his quote.  He had recommended widening my drain and installing a french drain as a surefire way to fix the problem.  However, he did say that if I don't decide to install the additional french drain and only go with widening the drain, he recommended that I go with a plumber instead.  That helped solidify that he was giving an honest opinion an estimate of the work to be done.  I ended up deciding to do the work, at first, but after having a weekend to think about it, I was reconsidering my decision since in the past I also wanted a patio done and decided to kill two birds with one stone.  I had put down a $1100 deposit and since I cancelled the job within three business days, they refunded me my deposit, no questions asked.  It was relieving to see that I didn't have to jump through any hoops to cancel after I had changed my mind.  I will definitely reach out to them in the future if I need other drainage solutions but at this point I decided to forego the drain solution and see if I can fix it with building a patio instead.
