They moved quickly and efficiently, knowing I was paying by the hour, but never once sacrificed care or quality. They were kind to my mom (who was helping me out), and so sweet to my two dogs too. "I hired Marathon Movers and Construction, managed by Williams Stewart, for a home improvement project, and my experience was profoundly disappointing. Mr. Stewart demonstrated a startling lack of skill and competence throughout. From the start, he admitted to lying about his ability to do the work, leading to numerous blunders: Incorrect Paint: Used the wrong type in several areas, needing extensive correction. Drywall Errors: Applied excessive mud, causing cracking. Unnecessary Work: Filled holes I didn’t request and didn’t paint over them. Poor Preparation: Neglected taping, causing splatters and spilled stains on my stairs. Tool Incompetence: Struggled with a circular saw, cutting carpet and trim incorrectly. General Negligence: He unplugged my freezer, causing the loss of 50 lbs of food. Missed Deadlines: Worked slowly, missing deadlines and causing significant losses. I should have inspected his work better, but I didn’t expect to babysit an experienced contractor."

"The 2 people who actually showed up were professional, although they arrived very late, which I attribute to three poor management. I was quoted 3 guys for 8 hours, and only 2 showed up. They attempted to overcharge me the original quote. Long story short, Tower contracted a local company and did a poor job of handing over the job."

"In spite of numerous negative reviews about Move Quick, Inc., I opted to hire this company for my move from West Virginia to Los Angeles. I spoke to Phillip, the manager/owner, who convinced me that the posted complaints had been resolved and were exaggerations. However, I, too, was subjected to an exaggerated low bid in order to snag my business. I, too, experience problems with the pick up and the delivery dates. The movers were a day late in arriving, then quoted me a 67% increase in price, from $3,100 to $5,200. BUT I was stuck. The company already had my deposit money. Also, I was charged for one flight of stairs and an exaggerated inaccurate measurement of my front door to the truck. I had been told there was no fee for one flight. I had provided exact measurements for the items in my two rooms of furniture. True, I had 51 boxes instead of 40 but that did not warrant such an increase in price, 67% almost $2,000. Delivery was also problematic. I had told Move Quick, Inc. that I would be at my new home 25 days after the pick up, October 30, 2019. That should have been more than enough time for any truck to drive cross country. They made me wait until December 4, 2020, a total of 25 days to drive 2,400 miles. I made the drive solo in 5 days. Communication with the company once they have your money is near to impossible. It took threats and 6 days for Philip to respond. He then provided an insignificant $75 discount. My recommendation: go with a larger company than can provide an accurate estimate and deliver within a reasonable time. Also, use a company that uses the industry standard of moving cost based on the weight of your items. Don’t let Phillip tell you his method of charging based on volume is better. No one else does this, for a reason. Other estimates I had received were in the $3,700 range.I should have Booked Elsewhere!”"

"Please read and believe the bad reviews. This company not only destroyed and damaged my furniture but also stole from me. They never reported to me any of the damage they did. During the first day I walked into my garage to find my book shelf in pieces and as I’ve started putting furniture together since they didn’t I’ve found more damage. I had a large toolbox filled with tools and my personal $200 moving dolly not make from previous home to the new one with no explanation other than the truck was empty when it returned to the business. The owners will not apologize or take any accountability for anything that happened and have continued to blame me as they do for anyone who leaves a bad review. I had called prior to my move to see if I needed to reschedule because I wasn’t completely packed and was told not to worry about it they would help pack and get me moved on time. The movers get there and pretty much say we’re going to throw things in boxes and we’re not responsible for whatever breaks. I made multiple trips to buy boxes and had 5 family members there helping pack boxes and also pack stuff into there cars to help move loose belongings. The movers kept packing things I had already said I was not packing or taking (one box had their packing tape, empty drinking bottles and bubble wrap in it) because someone was coming to haul away trash and anything left behind. So not only did this fill up the truck but now I will have to make multiple trips to the dump to throw away stuff I never intended on bringing and with a room full of stuff not packed they informed me their trucks were full and I would have to figure out a way to move the rest. They did eventually cram everything on the trucks but so much time and space was wasted on stuff that was suppose to be left behind. I now have to replace nearly a thousand dollars worth of tools, take time out of my schedule to file police reports and possibly get a lawyer to deal with these people after I paid them over $4200 to make an already stressful move even more stressful."

"Move went amazing! Movers were punctual, fast and efficient yet careful with all of my items including my Piano! Sales team answered all of my questions and really put me at ease for my stressful move. Made it easy to accommodate changing my dates when my house sale fell through! They were even able to provide packing supplies and storage to hold my items until I was able to move into my new home. Cant thank my movers enough! You guys are the best!"
