Please read and believe the bad reviews. This company not only destroyed and damaged my furniture but also stole from me. They never reported to me any of the damage they did. During the first day I walked into my garage to find my book shelf in pieces and as I’ve started putting furniture together since they didn’t I’ve found more damage. I had a large toolbox filled with tools and my personal $200 moving dolly not make from previous home to the new one with no explanation other than the truck was empty when it returned to the business. The owners will not apologize or take any accountability for anything that happened and have continued to blame me as they do for anyone who leaves a bad review. I had called prior to my move to see if I needed to reschedule because I wasn’t completely packed and was told not to worry about it they would help pack and get me moved on time. The movers get there and pretty much say we’re going to throw things in boxes and we’re not responsible for whatever breaks. I made multiple trips to buy boxes and had 5 family members there helping pack boxes and also pack stuff into there cars to help move loose belongings. The movers kept packing things I had already said I was not packing or taking (one box had their packing tape, empty drinking bottles and bubble wrap in it) because someone was coming to haul away trash and anything left behind. So not only did this fill up the truck but now I will have to make multiple trips to the dump to throw away stuff I never intended on bringing and with a room full of stuff not packed they informed me their trucks were full and I would have to figure out a way to move the rest. They did eventually cram everything on the trucks but so much time and space was wasted on stuff that was suppose to be left behind. I now have to replace nearly a thousand dollars worth of tools, take time out of my schedule to file police reports and possibly get a lawyer to deal with these people after I paid them over $4200 to make an already stressful move even more stressful.

I was quoted $300/hr for the first two hours, and, then $115/hr for THREE MEN. I can not say enough about how kind the TWO guys that they sent were, however, the third man never showed. after I questioned it when ready to pay, they decreased it from $115/hr to $90/hr. They left the $300/hr for the first 2 hours as is. My daughter's boxsprings were absolutely ruined from I am guessing the bearings from the bed. The two guys worked their butts off, and again, were very kind, and should not have been put in this situation. they were at my new house until midnight, and of course, didnt even have time to bring the boxes in and put them in the appropriate rooms. With a 3rd person, it would have taken a THIRD of the time. After speaking with Nicole who quoted me the 3 people and the rates to begin with told me that the price would still stand.She said a 3rd person would not make a difference in the time. They didnt leave my new house til pushing midnight. again, NOTHING but positive things towards the two movers, but I will NEVER USE BENNETT'S AGAIN! They dont stand by what they quote, OR take any responsibility for any damage.

We had many issues with Bennett's. Broken furniture was the major issue (which they tried to hide from us). I hired them for 8 hours, too bad they took a 5-10 minute smoke break every hour. Did not use all of the moving pads provided, so scuffs on a lot of furniture. Damaged our walls, front door, and banister. When Bennett's was contacted about the damage (which they knew about, but were also trying to hide from us) they said they would file an insurance claim. Called to check on the claim and they never filed one. Told us to go through the service we hired them through (thanks for wasting two weeks of our time!). So a terrible moving day, and we even bought them lunch (which they ate on the clock).

They arrived right on time and did a great job! I had a 3 man crew, and they were extremely careful. I couldn't have been happier, and I would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone.

We booked Bennett's through U-Haul to unload our moving truck.  They showed up on time and unloaded all of our heavy furniture quickly and professionally.  It was the coldest day of the year and we were all freezing, but they never complained and worked continually to get the job done.  My four year old daughter had to stop the movers and tell them about each piece of furniture going into her room, and they treated her very well.  We tried to keep her out of the way, but she was a little out of control from the long move.  Both of the movers were patient and kind to her.  The men were gentle with our furniture and did not damage anything.  There pricing was very reasonable, and I like using local businesses when possible. I am writing this review now because I am getting ready to hire them again and noticed that I forgot to review them when we moved here six months ago. 

I spoke with James, the owner. He was very courteous and prompt in returning my call. When I arrived it had snowed so we had to change the unloading date to the next day and he was very helpful with this adjustment. The two person crew arrived on time, unloaded the truck and placed everything where I wanted it, and they helped me place some side saddles on stands. I would highly recommend them. They were very flexible with the rescheduling due to snow. I will use them again. Their price was very reasonable.

There was more things in the other storage building that had to be moved,  so when they finished moving things from the 5X5 building, the MOVERS called HireAHelper.com TO RELEASE my funds, before they were even done moving, and made me provide the release code, and told HireAHelper.com to add 3 additional hours to the time, too. Again, they were holding my truck rental keys as ransom, in addition to the car that was attached at this time to the truck. They MADE me release too much money to them. They promised they would pack me in 1 day $400 only 4 hrs.. Instead, this move ended costing $1,500 in 4 days, PLUS all the damaged items?only SOME of the photos are included in this complaint. I carried 4,500 pounds of furniture and items, so I HOPE they are at least insured for 60 cents per pound which is the minimum liability for their damages. (I later learned this company is NOT even insured). I felt so threatened by these movers they not only damaged my items, and overcharged me, but the sexual conduct was the worse. They just threw my items into the truck, and pictures of the mirror to my dresser where the glass shelves were missing, and broken glass to the pictures and frames to my wall picture decorations they destroyed. They chipped most of the wooden furniture, and ruined most of my electronics. They also stole my $200 webcam and accessories, and I cannot locate them, either. After unpacking my boxes, I realized these two THIEVES stole from me. They removed all the items I PERSONALLY PACKED, and replaced them with garbage, and left some empty boxes. They stole many electronics items, computers, laptops, MY PASSPORT, my Student ID, my credit reports, stolen credit cards, office equipment, over 22 pet cages, 20 Aquariums, business supplies, collector's video games, Disney Movies, Various other movies, Strategy Guides, GPS, Cell Phones, School Books, Birth Certificates, IPod Touch and accessories, HP Computer, ASUS Laptop, Webcam, Word Processor, DVD Player, and accessories, many music CD's,All-In-One Printer/Scanner/Fax/Copier, Nintendo 3DS, most of my clothes were stolen and so were the storage dressers they were originally packed in by me.They stole 6 lantern lights, and told me they packed them in the truck, they were also stolen. Crooks.  Also, reported to police and Better Business Bureau. They promised they would pack me in ONE day and only 6 hours, and ONLY charge me $400 for the entire job, but they took 20 hours and 3 days because they UNPACKED ALL my valuables and repacked them with either garbage, or left them empty, and I was being touched inappropriately by Ricky and forced to be kissed by him, he is SO gross.  They both smoked the whole time, and knew I had allergies and asthma, and they did NOT even dress appropriately they had tattoos ALL OVER them.  When I called the police, their company deliberately kept calling my cell phone, and distracted me from being able to talk to the police officers to report their crimes.  I FINALLY was able to report them to the police AND reported them to the better business bureau.  Please, DO NOT TRUST these CROOKS.

And their website claims this company accepts Credit Cards, and it does NOT. And they do NOT even provide Insurance for their customers or their workers.  They claim to provide dollies, and other moving supplies, and do NOT; they made me buy these items while they stole them after, and did NOT even use any of the supplies I DID provide to USE, not to STEAL.

Yes, report made with police department, and better business bureau.  THEY ARE NOT EVEN LISTED THERE, they ARE SO BAD.  Only complaints against them are.

UPDATE: I have been a member of Angie's List for over three years, and that is how long this review has been on Angie's List. I never worked for Bennett's Movers, a company with multiple business names and multiple addresses and multiple phone numbers. I never competed with this company, either.

I have submitted the receipts of dis-service from this company as proof I was a real customer of theirs, that has only negative comments for this company, that has a restraining order against them, for continuing to stalk, and harass me, and commit ID Theft against me, using the multiple documents this family-owned-thieves stole from me, including birth certificates from myself and many family members of mine, as well as driver's licenses, social security cards, the keys to my 2 cars, cell phones, with friends and relative's contact information, which they also have stalked, too.  When a freeze is placed on my credit report, they call right behind me, and un-freeze the reports. They stole thousands of dollars from me by opening up multiple credit cards in my name, and maxing them out, the next day. They stole passports, student id's, baptismal records, college transcripts, honors awards of mine from college, diplomas with 4.1 GPA, and various items of mine being used to destroy not only my life, but my family and friend's lives, too. The worst part was the sexual misconduct from Ricky Bennett, and Wes Smith.  This company also has a restraining order not to contact me, and they are always violating this by their unwanted contact with me and my relatives, as well as their continued use of my documents, fraudulently.  There are many police documents against this company and their many addresses and phone numbers they use to malpractice their business unethically. The restraining order was signed by a judge, and I am always renewing it, although it does not protect me from all their associates involved in ID Theft, stalking, harassing, and now even following my reviews on Angie's List in their attempts to locate me.  This company even opened a life insurance policy on my close relative, and named me as the beneficiary. I know this, because the life insurance company ran an inquiry against my credit report, and my relatives, to open this life insurance policy.  Yes, I notified the police and this is why there is still a restraining order against these thieves. It has been over 3 years, and the company is still stalking me, ruining my credit reports, unfreezing them right behind me, committing cyber-crimes against me, and reaching out to contact me even on Angie's List even with a restraining order against them. Until this company is banned from Angie's List, please do not be another victim of Bennett's Moving Services and there are many names and addresses they go by.  Also, the review above mine, the one with all A's, their other 3 reviews cannot be verified, as the companies do not even exist.  This was a FAKE account opened to bury my honest review of all the F's they deserve.  If I could give them an F-minus, I would.  The minus makes my review more accurate.  There are many other companies, make sure they are licensed, insured, and bonded.  This company does not even accept credit cards, as they falsely advertise.

Also, in Greeneville, Tennessee, the locally owned and operated U-Haul Agency is related to Bennett's Moving Company, and hires Bennett's Moving Company, too.  Please, do not make the mistake of hiring any movers through them, because bad service is what you will also get, and they will stalk you, steal from you, commit ID Theft against you, and your family and friends, too.  It will never end until all the people in this crime ring of thugs is placed in federal prison for all their crimes against whomever hires them to HELP move, not hurt their customers, as t
